There used to be a nice thread full of all the up and comming prospects in the heavyweight division, lost in the crash unfortunately, so it seems like a good idea to start it up again.

Are there any up and commers you'd like to mention? What guys are the future of heavyweight boxing?

Chris Arreola, and my primo Manuel Quezada. Two good looking up and coming Mexican Heavyweights.:bbb

From the Euros, Boytsov looks promising but I think it'll still be a couple of years before he steps up.

Yeah, to much hype, to soon, I like the fact his style is quite different to a lot of standup european boxers though.

From the americans Chambers is the most promising prospect right now. He could be the new Chris Byrd. But america has not much to offer when it comes to heavyweight prospects at the moment. Kevin Johnson thinks hes the rebirth of Ali but other than an good fast jab he has nothing and zero power.

Hes verry inactive at the moment. He used to fight every month but now hes verry inactive. And he has to step up the competition. I also think that he should go to america and hire a american coach cause his style is better suited for the american coaches. Someone like Atlas or Roach would be a great trainer for him.

Still very rough but this guy is physically the best heavyweight I have seen in a very long time. Just an absolute beast.

For a guy that took up boxing only a couple of years ago and has had only 1 amateur fight Bowie is very impressive.

But overall I dont think he is going places, I think he has to much to learn still.

Kevin Johnson, he will slide under the radar because is a bit of a one trick pony and boring but his combination of size, skill, talent and his jab will be hard to beat for a while.

Chazz Witherspoon is probably the best American prospect right now. And he's not the greatest, it seems.

Johnson and Chambers, while not breaking news, are still the best hopes for the future of the American heavyweight division. If either had heavier hands they'd have legions of fans.

Tony Thompson has the best chance of becoming HW champ in 2008 ( of the US names )

David Haye, ( Best UK name, And I think he will be title holder in HW )

Povetkin--- Why not vs W. Klitschko in 2008 ??
