I have never really been a Matthew hatton fan. I cant reall stand him to be honest. I have met him on 2 occasions now and both times he came accross as very rude. Add this to the fact that he clearly lives off his brothers name (not such a bad thing if he wouldn't obstinately deny it)

Anyway now it has come out that he was ordered by the BBBC into a British eliminator with Michael Jennings, yet he turned it down.

Is he just trying as hard as he can to alienate himself from the average British boxing fan? I've heard rumours that he's getting an IBO shot later this year, but surely this is a bigger fight, considering the publicity Jennings has recieved lately, added to the fact that this would interest British fans.

I think his career is a joke. He should be fighting amongst the British guys and doing okay. However he is taking advantage of his bro's status and fighting hand picked opponents to move him along. He's fought the odd good fight. I'm bored of him talking like he's going to step up to world class. He's domestic but never mixed it up properly.

Even with all Judah's failings, Matthew is made for him.

The first uppercut he lands will ice Matthew.

The thing I really cannot understand is him not even trying to do something on his own. There have been loads of brothers in sports, and I cannot think of one that has lived off the other even close to what he has. Surely you would want to do something on your own, even if you fail you can at least look in the mirror with pride.
