Billy looked to slow and open - against a guy who can tuck up and bang back, he could be in deep sh*t. He is a tough kid with heart, but not enough in his game for me. Like a B-grade Hatton.

Frankie has the plaudits and class, but his power certainly needs developing. If he was to continue at 135 maybe it would be sufficient, but at 140 or 147 he don't carry the artillery to do business with a Cotto or a Pacquiao-type fighter awaiting him in 2 or 3 years time.

He needs to get more leverage and plant more. Witter started out with somethin like 1 ko from his first 14 fights or something? he started to punch later into his career.

Degale was a bit less showbiz and just plain biz. Good array of punches, but i dont see that metal in him, that killer streak. He is waaaaay more concerned with what people think of him, than his own job at hand. That is a serious flaw that needs to be taken care of.

Degale needs to curb the china-white's and get some hidings in the gym of big hungry operators. He needs to toughen up.

they all 2 fights in with 2 wins and by there own admissions they are all still learning and improving. To say Gavin wont be able to deal with Pac or Cotto?? What fighter after 2 pro fights could you say would be a match for that class and power. They all clearly need more time in the gym but power is easier to build than technique which he clearly has.

I was impressed with Degale, both fight wise and attitude.

i thought gavin looked better than his first fight and physically bigger across the back and arms and looked fitter. he will start to sit down on his punches and get a gd bit bigger at the weight. i was standing beside him at the khan weigh in and couldnt believe he is a light welter. i walk around like 13 stone and abotu 6ft and he wasnt as big as me but not much smaller

When Froch and Haye turned pro, they were fighting decent opponents.

Froch was fighting light-heavy's and even a cruiser in there against solid journeymen like Ojay Abrahams, Bonson and Davytan (who beat Tony Dodson) - and Froch tore them to shreds.

Here we have a load of cab drivers who look shocking - and they all got soft stoppages - except Degale. Frankie's opponent was laughing when he got stopped, he wasn't remotely hurt.

These bums should be brushed aside for what they are, yet they laboured.

Saunders is not a middlewieght he needs to loose weight fast. he looked fleshy and slow.

Not impressed with Gavin at all he lacks power and get drawn into scraps to easily. He is very east to hit unless hes got a solid chin will be in trouble.

Both Saunders and Gavin seem to rely on body shots to much.

DeGale looked good to me last night but clearly there is a lot of work to do. He is rangy, has good defense and footwork and very very fast hands. This guy was unheard off finished 33rd in the world championships and ended up winning an Olympic gold medal beating some top top fighters (sutherland, the cuban and the guys that beat koborov that won best boxer at the olympics) so he has gotta have something about him.

The main difference is a certain Mr Frank ******. Cant blame these guys for who he gets in. Tho to be fair i got no problem with them having an easy start into to the pro ranks. Dont wanna see them in wars now as they do have genuine potential. Look at the improvement in Degale from the first fight, this is just glorified sparing to improve the fighters.

How can you judge anything in the paid ranks when they have had 6 fights between them...... the amateurs and pro's are two different sports... in fact the pro's aint a sport.... it's a brutal business :bbb:bbb

Trotter is right, its way too early to judge any of them. Give them all 8-10 fights and when they have stepped up a little in class it will be a better time to make a fair assessment. :good
