Not heard anything about Arthur since he pulled out of the Burns v Gomez bill.
Anybody heard anything?
He's got an 8 rounder on the Burns-Foster Jr, bill.

Good stuff, I'm going along to that.
Hopefully he has his love for the game back, as I think thats been lacking in recent performances.

Does anyone even care about Arthur anymore .. This guy was hyped as 'the next big thing' for at least 5 years and he came to nothing. Alex Arthur will never be a world champion, i dont even think he's a particularly stand-out domestic fighter. He always looks there for the taking to me ..

He already has been world champ mate.
Unless your old-skool and don't count the WBO as a real belt.

Martinez, Guerrero, Klassen and Soto all wipe the floor with Arthur as does Mitchell. And going upto Lightweight and competing is a pipe dream too coz any top 10 there beats him as does Khan quite comfortably

goodness me. I have to laugh at all this Khan hype just cos he beat a washed up Barrera on cut, all of a sudden he would smack arthur about like a bitch, & would destroy Hatton too!
These forums make me laugh sometimes, "look, Khan beat Barrera, hes being trained by Roach now, therefore hes unbeatabubble!!!" they scream.
Boxing aint as simple as that. Arthur is what he is, a man who has underachieved. However, you could aslo argue that hes been fighting at the wrong weight for years now, & lightweight might bring back out the beast in him that we seen early in Alexs career.
Who knows until we have seen him at his new weight?
Look at Pacman as the ultimate example of a man who has improved as he has moved up the weights. I know Arthur aint no Pacman, who is? Anyone with an ounce of boxing knowledge will see what Im getting at here though.
As for Khan, hes not been training with Roach for long enough to label him as a monster who walks through Hatton & Arthur. Roach is a master trainer, but he aint no miracle worker.
He will need time, & lots of it to iron out Khans faults, Rome wasnt built in a day.

Dunky - I'm not saying I think Khan is superb or indeed that he beats Hatton (with Roach he has a chance though) What i'm saying though..... Is that Arthur is shite !
Arthur is scheduled to be fighing an eight rounder on the burns undercard. If he comes throguh that unscathed he then will be fighting on the ?Mitchell undercard (when ever that happens) for some intercontinetel/international belt ...i think it will be the wbo version ...
