sexton should win again

Nah, we already saw how Sexton crumbled when Rogan decided to put pressure on him.
He was seconds away from being stopped.
Rogan will win this one.

What's he going to do different next time if Rogan's eye doesn't swell ?
He was on his way to getting knocked out before the stoppage in the first fight.

Rogan will knock Sexton out. Sexton was battered and would have been stopped if the eye hadn't closed so much.

Sexton will win. Rogan doesn't have the mindset of a undefeated fighter anymore, and that will gnaw at him psychologically. Also he was badly hurt for the first time and that will do the same thing. Sexton was ahead at the time and knows what he has to do to win - Rogan can't do anything to adjust.

I mean seriously, why do you think Sexton is taking this rematch when he doesn't have to? I'm certain Sexton will come out on top.

There are no certainties in boxing.
Sexton has to go in there knowing that he was seconds away from defeat and knowing that Rogan has learned a hard lesson that you never let your man off the hook.
This does not bode well for Sexton.

He was on his way to getting knocked out before the stoppage in the first fight. He did have rogan on queer street though, forget which round.I would'nt rule out a late stoppage for sexton, but rogan should do it. There was something missing from him last time out, he needs a few months to relax i think.....

Its clear you dont have a clue what your talking about. Frank ****** is making Sexton fight Rogan again. ****** has options on both fighters. And as for the undefeated mindset shit, fucking grow up:patsch

gotta agree here, sexton was the better man on the night,
watched the fight this morning, and i really can't see what all the moaning is about, yes, sexton was hurt in the 8th,but rogan was hurt a few more times than sexton,he was even wobbled in the 8th,
rogan should not of dropped his hands, stupid, ofcourse sexton gonna hit him, fuck sportsmanship, rogan did when he elbowed sexton right in the mush at the end of round 4 i think:hey
i like rogan good tough fighter,but limited:bbb

Rogan should win but that's the second fight in a row where he's gone to war. Can't be doing him any good at his age. He'll have enough for a Sexton in the rematch though, he can definitely improve on his performance last time.

I wouldnt exactly say he was on "queer street" - he was hurt momentarily in the 7th but I wouldnt say badly and it doesnt compare to the distress that Sexton was in in the 6th and 8th.

I think Rogan had that fight in the bag and then all of a sudden he decides to be mister nice guy despite hitting people in the head for a living. I'd certainly be backing him to win second time round having learnt from his mistakes and taking no prisoners.

Are you seriously saying being undefeated isn't a positive psychological aspect with some fighters? I'll tell you what, read Chris Eubank's autobiography and tell me being undefeated isn't empowering. Do you realise how many careers instantly fade away once the unbeaten streak at the beginning goes? Now STFU.

I don't think Rogan buys into all that psychological stuff, he is a no nonsense kind of man. He will have the knowledge that Sexton did not beat him, like he said in his post fight interview.
It was a combination of suspect tactics and bad reffing that beat him, not Sexton.

And it's not "psychological" as in something that happens consciously - a lot of fighters don't feel as motivated after their first defeat. They no longer feel invincible - and it shows in their training and confidence. Sure, they may say the right things, but it's never the same. Of course, many fighters actually do come back stronger, but I don't think Rogan, at his age, will be one of them.

I don't know, look at all the support Rogan has got since the defeat, that will give him the extra motivation he needs in the rematch.
I agree that after a loss a lot of fighters also lose their spark or whatever but it's not as if Rogan was Ko'd or out boxed over the distance, he was stopped due to the eye when he was on top in the fight.

I was talking about Rogan, not some kid thats getting smoke blown his arse from someone like yourself. You can find all the reasons you want why Rogan will lose, but i hope you will be man enough to admit you were wrong when Rogan does a number on Sexton next time round.:D

eubank was a ego fighter, he was the king of the world and fucking loved every min of it.

rogan doesnt care about his record...he just so happens to of not lost proffesionally. very no nonsence type of guy...i doubt we will see roggie vault the ropes and strut into the ring and wear monacle while dropping peeps off in his taxi.

Sexton will be catching flies in the re-match. He will be dangerous in the early rounds, but this time will get sparked shortly after the bell rings for round 6. Plus, he wont have fond memories of the Belfast cauldron.

if rogan changed his ring name to 'rocky rogan' and he beat sexton in a rematch, the americans would love all that....and he'd make a fortune in his next fight...in america.

I hope I'm wrong, I'd like nothing more than to see Rogan come back from adversity and go further in his career.

But I won't be wrong. I said Rogan would lose against Sexton first time round, and it will happen again.

my thought exactly, everytime sexton threw the right hand it hurt rogan, if sexton is more aggressive next time i can see a stoppage before the eighth

Forget Eubank, it happens a huge percentage of fighters that step through the ropes. The reason I mentioned Eubank is because he talks about the power of an unbeaten record in his autobiography (not the power of his record)
