Indeed. It baffles me how people think that Floyd is the bigger man in this fight. He weighs less on fight night for a 154 pound fight than hatton does for 140 pound fight. Just 2 years ago people were saying that Floyd is not a natural 147 pounder and all of a sudden he's bigger than hatton just because he didn't get bitch slapped when he moved up in weight.

Hell in one Hatton intreview hatton said that after standing next to Floyd he could see that he was physically larger and that he didn't think that Floyd could offer anything to hold him off. Hatton is and always has been the larger man. The fact that Floyd can beat bigger guys with great ease does not change that.

Im talking mainly height and reach DISadvantage that hatton has, if he was a natural welterweight, say add 3 inch height, 5 inch reach advantage (I must admit, he has unnaturally short arms!

I agree with Mac. Hatton still loses.

Did you think ODH was going to win the fight against Mayweather? If not - how could you think Hatton being a Natural WW would make a difference. He still gets his ass kicked.

No I didnt, and Im not saying Hatton wins either way, simply asking that if hattons dimensions, weight not included, height/reach, if they were different, would it help his cause? Oh, and ass kicking I dont think so, itll be closer than you think!:bbb

If he was a natural heavyweight he'd do even better. Why ask this question?

Ok - I would have to agree some - that if all disadvantages were removed - except for speed - then the fight would be closer. However - Mayweather still wins. Hatton just doesn't get his ass kicked as bad. :bbb

They're not objective disadvantages. They're only disadvantages inasmuch as the person doesn't know how to work with what he has. Tyson was a "short" Heavyweight who knocked the fuck out of everyone in his prime.

It's a moot point. You're asking what would happen if he was born differently. If he was a natural Welterweight, he never would have fought at Junior Welterweight and would never have been the top man at 140lbs. What if Sonny Liston was able to make the Lightweight limit and carried his power down with him?

I doubt Hatton sees them as disadvantages either, hes unbeaten with the tools he has, I am simply saying that if he had those, as Im saying, disadvantages erased, would his chances be MUCH better? I still think he has a chance, he has to get on the inside and stay there, easier said than done against a master-boxer like Mayweather, but like I say, if he wasnt so short, had a better reach, would people be saying, "Yeah, he has a great chance" rather than "He has a chance" (Or as you might say, "He has no chance anyway!"

Just watched again the other day, what do you guys think? Was one of the main mistakes Tszyu was making vs Hatton was constantly going straight back when Ricky charged allowing himself to be driven into the ropes? As I was watching I couldn't help but wonder why Tszyu was not going more side to side, and would it have helped?? I know it's off subject a little but what do you guys think??

Its a hypothetical Question, please dont let me see you engage in any theoretical matchups on here, I will be bringing this point up then!

If he doesn't see them as disadvantages, then why would he want his arms longer or to be taller?

This just doesn't make any sense.

This is different from theoretical matchups. You're asking what would happen if he had longer arms and was taller.

Either way, we are all making a judgement call based on opinion, therefore they are not so different! did you actually answer the original question, or is it that time of the month for you? Its like arguing with my girlfriend!:D
