Wondering if anyone thinks that Herbie Hide can defeat the Italian..I have only seen him fight David Haye...and he was tough...anyone see Herbie regaining a title at cruiser?? what are the chances of the fight happening by the end of the year?

I think Hide can do it if he is training properly. He is a very good fighter when he is focused.Ive not seen much of Fragomeni either,he looked decent against Haye but i think Hide would have too much in the way of power and expirence.

Fragomeni wins this one.

Gotta go with Fragomeni. He has a rock solid chin and will be able to walk through Hide and blow him out.

Fragomeni was down twice versus Diablo. So, I will say Hide WKO.

Hide seems to have lost his punch, and went Fragomeni having a very good chin(despite being floored against very good fighters), he will as the poster said above be able to walk through Hide and stop him.

One interesting thing:

Hide is basically a small heavyweight - despite the terrible chin, he had some talent and genuinely hurt some bigger men. Fragomeni would probably have been a light heavy if he'd turned pro earlier. Frago is tough and strong and rolls in nicely and throws good combos - but he has a light heavyweight punch.

I'm not saying that means Hide will knock him out, or even that Hide would win. Interestingly, Haye had to finally prove his toughness, and had to rally, to beat Fragomeni. And Haye is another big cruiser/small heavy, like Hide.

I would go for Fragomeni to beat Hide, as the Italian has been boxing at a higher competitive level; but he may have to get up off the floor or may have to rally, to win?

IS THIS FIGHT GOING TO HAPPEN, ANYTIME SOON?

I have to admit I stopped watching Hide's fight lately for he was fighting very low level of competition. It is kind of hard to judje for his current condition based on those fights. Yet, I tend to think he could outbox Fragomeni and win via a decision.

I think Hide can win this fight, but the italian has been showing, against all odds, that it's a bad idea to bet against him.

I hope this fight happens before October.
