Terrible Terry

I saw the Miranda fight and Arthur is about the toughest bastard on earth. How will King Arthur match up vs the Jermain Taylors and Kelly Pavliks of the world. Do you think he is the real deal or just another protected fighter based in Germany who will live on home town decisions?

The second part..But I am known abraham hater so what do I know.......Taylor or Pavlik whoops his ass though..Pavlik drops him and Taylor pops him up. The guy struggled with Miranda got bludgened and his jaw got smashed in...Miranda is a fans fighter..not really the most talented of the bunch.

he'd do well with taylor and probably put on a good showing, but he's gonna have trouble with pavlik. too much of a height and reach advantage, not to mention throws in volume with power behind those punches.

He is badass enough to win a fight vs Miranda with a broken jaw almost throughout the match. That's pretty badass.

He's sortof untested in the Taylor level. I never thought Miranda was that great.
We don't know until they fight but my money would be on Taylor.

Pavlik's volume punching is all wrong for Abraham.
Abraham has a very low workrate and can't counterpunch.
He would stand a better chance against Taylor.
But he's much smaller, this could be a problem, too.
Abraham 1,78m
Taylor 1,85m
Pavlik 1,88m

abraham has improved sine the miranda fight. he has a much better defense and he is not so wild at knocking out his opponent. you have to recognise that he is a fresh man in the mix, he is pro sice 2004 and he fought good opposition sice then. in his last bout he knocked out khoren gevor brutally in the 11th round. i was really shocked by the KO and i really think he will enter the usa soon. hbo has spoken to him and his german promotr, so hopefully he wont waste talent and hang around europe, because he would enter the usa in big style. both, taylor and pavlik are beatable and abraham hits harder than taylor and possibly harder than pavlik. pavlik is taller and throws more punches but his chin is untested, arthurs is not. these fights would be huge and i think arthur abraham has the tools to become a star. he is a nice fellow, by tghe way.

I rate him, he is a fair bit better than the other top armenian, Viccy D.
He does have some limitations though, maybe can take down JT but in reality though JT has had some help from the powers that be, his ability has allowed him to be so competitive in those fights that it wasnt THAT much of a gift for him. JT is a good fighter, so is AA would be a great match.

Number of counterpunches against Gevor: 0 in 11 rounds.
Please tell me why he'd beat Pavlik.
(Abraham is one of my favourite boxers.)
Both Pavlik and Taylor will trouble Abraham. But, we still havent seen if Pavlik can go 12 rounds. I cant imagine him easily making 160, so theres a good chance Abraham can drown him if the fight goes deep. IMO Taylor will be a toughter fight, mainly becasue his real athletic and fast on his feet. He can jump in there, throw a one two and jump back out without being hit. Thats if he fights a diciplined fight, if he gets gutsy, theres a good chance AA will KO him.
Number of counterpunches against Gevor: 0 in 11 rounds.
AA is more of a counter puncher than attacker. He mixes it up.

ikeke, miranda.
his countering is his strong point for me.

We agree to disagree.
I agree with your last sentence, though.
After his fight against Demers I thought he's unbeatable, his handspeed, his combinations looked great.
But against Gevor he looked ordinary again.
It's really hard to predict how far he can go. Hopefully he'll be in a meaningful fight soon.

He looked ordinary again cause he turned more into a slugger and boxed less. I think also because he came in so pumped up. When I saw him throwing only powershots ... well the side-effects of being pumped up like that. :patsch
If Abraham drops a few muscles, becomes fluid and fast again, he will automaticly box more and not only depend on slugfests. I know he likes slugging but he should refrain from beeing one-dimensional, otherwise boxers like Taylor will eat him for breakfast. The old fast Abraham will beat Taylor but this new version .... hmmm, it simply depends on Taylors Ego. If he think he can slug it out with AA he ll lose.

Against Pavlik I totaly agree with this reply. If Pavlik boxes like he did against Marinda, AA will have huge problems, also since I find his blocking too passive in comparison to for instance Mayweather who on the defense is still looking for possibilities to get in a good return and never stops moving. Against Gevor he got away with it cause Gevor was lacking the bang in his fists but against Pavlik it'll be different.
Pavlik will only lose if he stops boxing and wants to play "The Destroyer", cause this is AA's specialty and even though he is slugging he is very very accurate, since he never loses his cool.

BTW against Demers Abraham was as muscular as against Gevor. Abraham could have done better against Gevor though, his trainer was not pleased in the corner with Abraham.

I thought after the Miranda fight in which Kelly ate some vicious right hands and kept coming for Miranda, the untested chin shit was put to bed.

I think Abraham was too confident of destroying Gevor. He won't overlook a fighter like Pavlik or Taylor and will even train harder and trying another gameplan against both. His coach Ulli Wegner will find the right tactics to make AA a worthy contender when he fights them...
He didnt struggle with Miranad up to the point his jaw was broken. The Armenian twice broke his jaw,and was bleeding and losing blodd like a shot pig.I guess that is why he "struggled " with Miranda for the remaining 7 rounds.
By the way throughout their entire encounter Abraham seemed to be the one who was more likely to take out his foe,and not vice versa.
Lets put it this way:Miranda wasnt able to stop an severely injured opponent.
What does this tell you about Abraham, and Miranda?
Apart from Miranda Pavlik hasnt faced a single recognisable name in his whole pro career.Abraham has a proven track record. He has beaten quite a bunch of good opponents. The same cant be said about Pavlik.
Taylor? Abraham can be outboxed, and Talyor has the tools to do that.Could go either way IMO.
