Stoke-on-Trent boxer Scott Lawton will fight Manchester's unbeaten John Murray for the British lightweight title at Wigan's Robin Park Centre on 13 June.


Thoughts on this? I think Murray will probably edge it by bullying Lawton out of there.. but would much prefer Lawton to win.

I think this is a big backwards step for Murray. Lawton has proved his level and it is not British championship standard. Murray needs to move things along soon if he is to make anything of his career. Beating Lawton will prove nothing at European level let alone World. I’m not saying that Murray is ready to fight for a World title yet but he should be ready for a tilt at the EBU title very soon. If he can win and successfully defend that against good opposition then the title chances will come in 2011.

why doesnt murray fight limmond,simple ,the good fights just dont happen,
murray and limmond would probably be happy to fight each other but the promorers dont want there boxer to lose,so the fans lose out.murray and limmond are lucky to fight twice a year and it is usually crap opponents

Its Mezzache and I wouldn't call him useless at all, he's obviously achieved more than Murray now in Boxing.
