1. Barry M. After the Fight "I have Anthony 3 points in front but it very well could be 3 points behind." In the real world Anthony was beaten. 2. Wba official in Australia Derick Milham and judge for this fight, had Geale winning 4 Rounds . CAN'T Kill the cash cow can we.
So we need a rematch then.

A rematch has to happen Teke if Mandy is up for it. It was a great fight to watch, I forgot to mention this.

Whats gonna happen in a rematch? More of the same?
or is someone gonna balls it up & actually go for a ko.

Did you watch the fight.....mate they both went hard....not much of the normal Mundine hit and run...it was a great fight and I thought a KO was going to come from one side or the other.
Whats your Ko % westy in your fights?

Really? I didnt. most were slipping. You could see the difference in the last round when choc started going?.. he got tagged a bit and it opened up.
So we need a rematch then.
I reckon so.
As someone else mentioned, he's given Sammy 3 go's at it, and none of them were as close as yesterday.

A rematch would be sweet, but I kinda want him to step it up a bit, so if he does this instead I think his decision would be well supported.
But does he step it up from here? Hope so.

I agree with u totally Boxon.
I couldnt believe Geale's team didnt ask for an official change to 1 of the judges after Derek Milham was announced as a judge.
Poor work from his management team IMO.

It was a fun fight to watch. Competitive from start to finish.
But I don't want to see them do it again. Neither guy can hurt the other.
I can't see Choc fighting Pavlik...he wouldn't last 6 rds and would spend every second on the ropes. Sturm beats him too.
He can rematch Geale but I couldn't care too much about a second fight.

Mundine would seriously get put in a casket vs Pavlik..Pavlik's big weapon is ko power.
Mundine took alot of shots and luckily for him they were from a light puncher in Geale.

my thoughts exactly. seem to have been alienated for the view, however.

I didn't see the whole fight yet, but will obviously. Can anyone shed an opinion on Mundine getting hit more? I know in the last few fights it's happened a lot more than we're (and Mundine I'm sure) is used to.
I'll make my own judgement, but do you think it's Mundine's age catching up finally, do you think he's fought guys who's power he's not afraid of and thus is open to more hits? (i.e. if i he fought Kessler again would he try stand and trade now or keep running in and out?) or do you think he's just developed as a more complete fighter and can take more of a punch?
I've missed all of his fights since Soliman II other than hight lights simply because I want him to fight someone with a pulse (Geale obviously has a pulse but he was simply an undefeated Aussie MW Pro... not normally the most formidable type of opponenet no?)...
I guess what I'm asking (and I'm keen on what you say Teke as we have similar views) is, is Mundine sliding down? Or is he deceptively becoming more complete? - getting hit more isn't necesarily a bad thing in Mudine's case... Knowing he'a not afraid to take one is rather comforting and a nice change really.
Hopefully the latter - he's definitely lost some power AND stamina of late.

I didn't see it either but in two miute highlight reel I saw punches landed (from Geales right hand) that i assume would put Mundine away if landed by a powerful puncher.

PorkChop..... Mundine was definately out punched..IMO.
Effective punches being in Mundines favour.. IMO.
Last night showed Mundine being put to task for the full journey by a hungrier, fitter and less skilled oppenent. Geale showed his utmost ability and allowed us to see the first sign of life from Mundine is a long time.
Mundines general ability to read the punches gave him a better standing through the fight.
My diplomatic view.....

The main thing that troubled Mundine imo was Geale's incredible workrate throughout so Anthony won't dare go anywhere near someone like Pavlik or Paul Williams at 160.

I'd love to see Pav/Man.....

The Pavlik machine in my mind is not a scary thought. The way he fights can be very predictable but he does have good reach, a double jab followed by a walloping right.
I think Mundine can beat Sturm easier than Geale imo.

Its a great fight best one for a while in australia.....you will enjoy it
I thought Geale went much better than expected.....I am a Geale fan since the Dawson fight and have seen hime 4 or 5 times before. He showed he has a great workrate and good evasion...he does throw some big punches as well but the big shots missed the mark..
The fight could have been a draw but because of Geale being down in the second Mundine had the edge on the card...lots of close rounds with the general thought being Geale threw more but Mundine threw the cleaner punches.
On Mundine I think hes still got more in him....the fight Wednesday proved that beyond any doubt. Mundine was slick, fast, evasive and on the front foot. Mundine did mix it alot more than expected and hence he got hit more by Geale...but most punchers from Geale were in bunches an deflected off everything, gloves, shoulders and head....so while it looked good it was not clean....thats why he lost.
Mundine hurt Geale 4 or 5 times.....Geale hurt Mundine 1 or 2 times.
Mundine still has legs in him.....however I dont think he can beat any of the top 3 in MW....it was the same story in SMW.
As a hugger I want him to pick off the vacant and regular belts beating top 5 to 15's for the next few years because getting KTFO by PAV wont do him any favors.
I know you guys want him to step up so he can get KTFO but dont hold your breath......if you expect less from Mundine it wont bother you :thumbsup

Mundine talks a better talk than most fighters......but I have some breaking news......."Mundine wont fight the big boys"....its all trash talk to get more people interested in the fight.
And if Mundines ripping off the public fighting Geale than thats a poor view :deal

Geale has even less power than Malignaggi, thats the only reason Choc took the fight. If he had any power at all he would of put Choc to sleep. And Mundine wont fight Pavlick or anyone of note,he is just throwing Pavlicks name out there to get some notoriety.
Both these guys will get run over on the world stage, they just dont have any pop.

100% correct. Both Geale and Mundine have terrible power for the top level at 160.
