Totally agree - except the stoppage, if it comes, comes later. Most likely Hatton wins by wide UD, imo - but either way, it will be far more one-sided than many expect.:yep

castillo ud 12.
Castillo UD 8-4 . No knockdowns.
Perhaps Castillo by TKO due to cuts.. Hatton is a bleeder and I imagine alot of inside trading.

I'm worried about Ricky's suseptibility to cuts, that could force a stoppage in Castillo's favour...
But I'll do my patriotic duty, and back Hatton to get the win. Might as well back him to the hilt too, so Hatton by TKO!
Hatton ud.
Castillo starts well but hatton outlasts him.

I just think that given the styles of these 2 guys that the fight won't go as long as many people believe. I also think that Castillo is by far the better boxer and if Hatton is coming to fight his usual fight then that will not work in this one.....
Hatton has impressed me in the past with his ability to change strategy mid fight, against Magee for instance when his 'jump in' style almost got him KO'd in both the first and second rounds. Problem is, Castillo is a world away from Magee. I say this fight won't go 9 rounds, and I picked the 7th as a wild guess as to when Hatton gets saved by the referee. Perfectly happy to eat crow later on if I'm wrong though :yep

Castillo's last performance worries me a bit. I don't know if he can match Hatton's energy level.
I'll take Castillo anyway. I am not a Hatton hater, and do realize why he is the favorite.
I think Castillo can bother him from the outside, and is the best infighter Hatton has ever faced. If he can deal with Hatton's high octane attack, he may be able to hit him enough for a stoppage.

I originally pick hatton by UD, But since the weight-in when I saw them side by side I noticed Castillo's size advantage plus Castillo's Hungry(B-coz of IRS & lawsuits). Hatton's unimpressive previous fights also are the reasons I changed my pick. Castillo by 9th rd TKO or Corner stoppage.

Hatton UD. Castillo needs room to punch effectively, Hatton most likely won't allow it. The guy wins ugly, but he wins.

Wow. I completely misread your post, man, thought you were picking Hatton!!:lol::lol: :patschCastillo is the better boxer, you're right about that, but I think he's slipped a bit, and Hatton is catchin him at the right time. That tips the scales in Ricky's favor, imo. HOWEVER, if Castillo isn't as past it as I think, your prediction could be right. It won't be long til we find out........

Castillo surprises everyone by boxing and letting hatton run into punches like he did against Colazzo. Castillo is out boxing hatton and hatton isnt so quick to rush in anymore. Castillo turns it up, pressures Hatton.
I hate to make picks because sometimes I end up eating my words. LoL
Hatton looks confused, tries to mix it up with Castillo. Castillo gets the better of the exchanges.
Hatton comes back in rounds 6-10, in a war.
Fight ends in a draw.

Women (at least ones with opinions on boxing) should be off site at all times during a boxing match. Children, so long as they do not listen to their mother about boxing, are accepted on a fight to fight basis.

Oh well...........not as I predicted.
Castillo looked shot..........hatton is a dirty fighter who makes his openings by holding and clenching. His tactics win him fights, however.
You can't take anything away from that body shot.
Hatton retires castillo in 3 rounds.
Hatton VS Cotto.........or Hatton VS Mayweather.
These would be interesting fights.
