Billy Conn wins easily.
He was much busier, faster and hit harder despite being much lighter.
Young did well against bigger, slower fighters.
Check his record.
He lost to many smaller fighters who basically had an easy time with Young.
Billy Conn much better and atleast a level above.

Yeah, not sure about the hitting harder bit. Young hit deceptively hard.
He busted Ali's eardrum, hurt him a bit to the body and rocked Norton several times.

Young wasnt a particularly big heavyweight in his prime...he only started consistently outweighing his opponants later in his career when he balooned out and you can see on film his overall effectiveness clearly diminished.

He was still larger then Conn even at his prime weights.

Conn was really only a super middle ,but as well as being a better boxer he was a rough and tough guy and not adverse to bending the rules, he hit Bob Pastor in the nuts several times ,after he told him he was going to.
I think Young maybe hit harder actually, I saw him drop Gardner in LONDON.
Young was too negative for me ,Conn's speed footwork and work rate take this convincingly imo, plus he had top chin .

I was really trying to say I dont really ever recall Young getting easily handled by smaller fighters..for the most part he took on guys his size or bigger.
He outweighed guys later in his career....but I dont think that means he was naturally the bigger man, it just means he was getting on.

I'm not saying Conn wouldn't beat him, just that Young chose to box instead of bang, but could definitely punch when he chose to mostly because of his precision and sneakiness. Being nearly killed by Shaver's early in his career might of left a mark on the man.

Young was out on his feet against Foreman too ,as he later admitted.
" he could have pushed me over with his finger".
Young hitting harder than Conn doesnt say much Conn had a risible ko%.
For instance the knockdown of Foreman was a combination of two things Foreman beginning to gas out and coming into the shot.
I dont think Young EVER kod a top man.

Ali was as well, and he admitted it too.

Young did not hit hard.
Light heavywieghts beat him and some easily.
One of them --- Pat Cuillo kicked his ass for 10 rounds.
I am sure he would of laughed at you if you said that Young hit hard.
One thing for sure --- he was fat and did not train very hard.
I am not impressed.

Tough fight to call, but I think Billy just ekes by Jimmy on a SD.A draw could occur also, as I'm not convinced Billy would win this outright.
