I pulled the Strikeforce list from their site - so it looks like Babalu vs Feijao has been scrapped. I'll add it to the list in case this is just a clerical error.

Babalu pulled out from the fight a while back. I think Feijao is still scheduled to fight on the undercard though. Mike Kyle's name has been mentioned as a possible opponent.

Sobral had been in plans to face Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante for Strikeforce on June 6, but had to withdraw due to familial considerations. Wilner says that Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker has been nothing short of "wonderful" to work with, and has "always been a man of his word" in supporting big fights such as this. Plans now call for Sobral to return to Strikeforce shortly after Affliction 3 to defend his title.

Lawler is certainly the more active of the two fighters. No doubt the winner of tonight's fight will become the challenger for Cung's middleweight title.

I only saw Cung fight Frank and frank is washed up so I don't have an accurate gauge on him. Lawler Cung would be an excellent fight. How do you think the extra weight will effect Sheilds? I think it"s a bigger deal then anyones alluding to.

The weight difference is the intangible in this fight. Lawler could be too strong for Shields and just manhandle him - and conversely Shields could come in just fine with good conditioning and a speed advantage on Lawler. If he can put Lawler on his back - Shields should be able to hook a submission. I wouldn't be surprised to see anything from a guillotine to a arm triangle choke to a kimura or armbar.
