In their primes, LHW fight, 15 rounds. Who wins it?

Foster PTS. Past prime and fat Qawi took a Helluva beating from Big George, I think he survives and does quite good

Foster would win..maybe by KO..probably on points.

Not many I pick over Bob at this weight.

I agree that Foster would win......but I can't see him stopping Qawi. I wouldn't put it completely out of the question though, Foster is one of the hardest hitters of all time

Yeah if anyone can do it at 175 it would be Bob.

I dont see Foster knocking out Qwai. If anything, imo, Qwai has a solid chance of beating Foster.

I think Qawi is tailor made for Foster and would eventually be put down for the count. Smaller fighters are just not very successful against Bob Foster, particularly height and reach deprived fighters. I think it would be a matter of time before Foster gauged the distance with the jab well enough to time him with one of those long straight rights, and if that doesn't work he always has the backup left hook. Either way, Qawi's likely going down. His more pressure/swarming oriented style would see him last a bit longer than Tiger, as he'd give Foster more trouble ad******g early on, but ultimately I see a similar result.

edit: Why the fuck is "adjust-ing" edited?

I wouldn't say so. They didn't fight like Qawi at all really. I'd favor Foster over both, Saad because of his penchant for absorbing punishment (though it's always possible he could steam back to hurt Foster), and Eddie for his habit of coasting. I do think Eddie would be capable of lasting the distance, though. He was a very skilled, smooth boxer at his best.

Saad for sure I reckon..Just would take to much leather in the end.

Eddie I think would be harder..he wouldnt be so physically disadvantaged here..He has a good chin aswell, I think at his best he was as good a technician as Finnegan was ..but a better puncher and better offensively aswell. I still think Bob gets it but that would be harder then Saad and Qawi IMO.

I thought Eddie would have the best chance of surviving. Foster vs Saad might've been one of the best tear-ups boxing has ever seen!

It was a shame with Eddie though, he just never really stepped on the pedal like he should've been able to. He looked great in the Galindez bout IMO, really smooth and technically efficient throughout. He looked to be on par technically with a guy like Conteh. He just never had that killer instinct that Conteh had. Ultimately it cost him the SD against Galindez.

Haven't seen the Galindez fight....would like to, is it on the tube???

Conteh was a massive waste of natural talent.

Conteh at that short time he was really truly peaking was a monster...one the better light heavies Ive seen on film..Id like to see more of his earlier stuff.

I think Foster would use his jab and reach to keep Qawi at bay and outbox him to a decision, fundamentally similar to how Spinks did.

But Qawi was a great fighter too IMO, and not someone you could underestimate.

Qwai was a monster till hit. He tasted Spinks power in round one of their bout and fought a cautious fight the rest of the way ... No way he does much against Foster ... Bob was way too dangerous ...

Hmmmm.....I dunno, the Saad fight would say otherwise? Qawi was past prime by the time he fought Spinks, he still put up a fight, round 7 for instance (if I remember correctly) he really puts the pressure on.

Qawi was right in his prime when he fought Spinks. It was 3 1/2 years before he gave a remarkable effort up at Cruiser against Holyfield. Spinks was just a little better than him. I think Qawi would get stopped by Foster if he pressed hard and get decisioned if he got cautious.

past his prime? Please, whats his prime then, 4 fights between 1981 and 1982.

Qawi wasn't specifically past his prime when he fought Spinks, he just wasn't at his best for that particular matchup. Not that he'd have ever beaten Spinks, IMO.

It was in response to the guy who said Qawi was good until hit.
