Its sounding pretty ominous that our Raging Bull isnt taking this fight lightly against Agbeko. Thanks Nonito you woke up this Ultimate Fightimng Machine.

Pretty cool story, its looks like the boys are ready to have Vic pull the trigger again.

FIRED UP DARCHINYAN

INCREASED power in his right arm to go with his lethal left has Vic Darchinyan feeling confident as he resumes his quest for all-time boxing greatness.
Undisputed super-flyweight champion Darchinyan flew out of Sydney yesterday in preparation for his title challenge against Ghana's IBF bantamweight world champion Joseph Agbeko in Florida on July 11.
A victory would bring him his fifth major world title belt, exceeding the Australian record he shares with fellow overseas-born fighter Kostya Tszyu.
It would also make him a three-division world champion, equalling the Australian record of Jeff Fenech, his former trainer.
Darchinyan, who will not vacate any of his three flyweight titles until after the Agbeko fight, emphasised he wasn't specifically trying to beat the records of Fenech and Tszyu, but was striving for a permanent place in boxing history.
"Maybe I will stay for a year at bantamweight and unify the titles, but I want to move up and to win more world championships at different weights," Darchinyan said. "I want to go down in the history of boxing.
"I want people to remember me, not only at the time while I'm boxing, but after I retire, I want to be one of the best of all time."
Darchinyan's manager, Elias Nassar, revealed his charge was poised to participate in a number of "multimillion-dollar" bouts provided he beats Agbeko, who has a record of 26-1 (22 by knockout).
Renowned for his sledgehammer left hand, which is responsible for most of the 26 KOs in his 32-1-1 record, 33-year-old southpaw Darchinyan said he had been focusing on his right hand for his coming fight.
"People are talking because I am moving up to bantamweight that my power isn't going to be enough, but that's why I want to go to America and be more focused on my training and show the world my power is more than enough for bantamweight," Darchinyan said. "Everyone knows I've got a lot of power in my left, now with all my sparring I'm more focused on my right and I can feel my right hand is very powerful now, too, and my sparring partners are saying that I am punching harder with my right."
Darchinyan is leaving nothing to chance as he chases another world title.
He is leaving for America 10 days earlier than usual and hopes to spar with a number of top-class fighters in there, including current WBA featherweight world champion Chris John, who has a title rematch with Rocky Juarez in Los Angeles on June 27. "My preparation has been very good, I feel like I'm at the top and ready, but there's still five-and-a-half weeks to go," Darchinyan said.
"I am going to take it a little bit easy and not push too much, I don't want to be overtrained.
"I've never spent so long in America. I normally go one month before but I want to focus on my fight."
Nassar said Darchinyan had never prepared as well for any fight, heading into his fourth consecutive headline bout on American cable television network Showtime.
"He looks incredible with his speed and power and extra weight, I'm actually very scared for Agbeko," Nassar said.

My jaw wont drop to the ground if Vic loses this one...he is really taking on the big challenges.

Agbeko might be the weakest champ on paper but he still looks like a physically strong and hard punching bantam.

But Im not doubting Vic for a minute here...he is looking absolutely sensational at the moment.

I wish they would finally put Vic on HBO.He has never fought on the channel has he?

Well Showtime is their rival...Im not sure if Vic is contracted to them but he has just about always fought on that network.

HBO I think is the bigger network and puts on more shows..But Showtime probably gets more respect from the fans because of some of the great cards they have put on in recent years.

Should be a good fight. I wonder if he'll ever jump in with Donaire again?

I truly believe he wants to Ippy...but Shaw hates the little filo for some reason..I think he will do everything he can to block that fight.

Because the more Vic keeps winning, the richer Donaire will get from the rematch.

In a way Vic has outgrown Donaire, there are bigger fights out there for him...but its still a fight Id really like to see. Nonito looked like coming up to superfly for a little while there but word is he is staying at fly at least for a couple more months.

He probably does want to fight him, but I doubt he's outgrown it mate. It's a fight that would do the biggest numbers of Vic's career to date I'd imagine.

More so then Izzy or Marquez?

I dont blame Vic for not waiting around if those guys offer him a fight.

But again I do really want to see that rematch.

I doubt Izzy or Marquez will face him to be honest. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Izzy could happen...I really think its a possibility.

Izzy fights on Showtime...JuanMa fights on HBO and is still building his name up..No one cares about Cabellaro.

Izzy knows his days are numbered...there is nothing at feather and not much at superfeather..Surely would be one of the biggest paydays out there for him.

Vic KO.

I am assessing this agbeko on youtube. the impression I get he will get polaxed by the armenians left cross..he appears the weakest champ with a glossy padded record IMO.

Vic in 4 or 5 for mine.

Noticed the vote is 100% for a Vic KO thus far - hope it works out that way!

I think Vic's preparaition reflects what his team think about Agbeko. Training this long for a World Title fight gives me the impression they think that Agbeko has the goods.
Dont think for a second that Agbeko's record is padded , in Ghana professional records of fighters are not recorded. Nearly 100% of opinions on the net said that he totally dominated Sidorenko and got robbed in Germany for his only loss.

Anyhows Im very superstitous so here its goes ....

Vic simply cos I would never pick against him in the form he has been showing since Nonito Donaire

If it goes past 8 rounds, I think Vic may be struggling to win on points. Gotta agree with Phil austen here, he has been deadly since Donaire and will be looking to establish himself in the heavier division through a KO early. Don't know what Agbeko can handle in the chin but Vic will certainly test him.
So - before 8 - Vic
More than 8 rounds - Agbeko

If I have to make a decision - it's Agbeko. Don't know he'd be stupid enough to walk straight into Vic's hitting zone.

It wont be about Agbeko being stupid enough to get into Vic's hitting zone. Cant you all see there is a lot more to Vic than his power, Vic's ring craftmanship has improved 10 million percent since his loss to Donaire. He comes foward and cuts off the ring better than anyone else in the business. Do you think its a fluke that Mijares, Arce and Kirilov wanted to get hit. Mijares and Kirilov slip punches better than anyone else in the division but you cant hold off a fighter that will stalk you for 12 rounds.

Let me tell you something else and I am not being bias, but Vic gets a lot stronger as the fight goes on. His training for this fight has apparently been better than ever before. Dont be surprised if Agbeko doesnt get knocked that he gets punished very very badly.

GO THE RAGING BULL !!!!

vic has the ring smarts, speed & agility, agbeko may be a tough customer, but vic seems unstoppable at the moment.m
vic did 11 hard rounds with arce & was dominating most of the way, so vic can also win this easily on points too

Not too sure about that one mate. I'd expect Cabellaro to get a crack at either Izzy or Rafa before Vic to be honest. JMO

Darchinyan by TKO late. Abgeko is a very dangerous opponent for Darchinyan's first fight @ Bantam so, as always, massive props to 'the Raging Bull'. This fight will end in a KO of some sort though. No way both fighters want it on points!
