I know he's been put down but you gotta include Greeny on that list. I think Pieter Cronje deserves a spot after the Lepai fight.

Yeah Greens chin is good especially given the calibre of fighters he's faced.

Mundine? Boom boom fucking Beyer?

Greeny does have a good beard..but for the most part it really hasnt been tested.
Most of the top guys he had faced werent noted puncher and in other fights he often dominates to such a degree his chin doesnt come into it.

It's not like I disagree with you but in Aussie ranking sense you have to give him credit for fighting higher level guys without ever really looking shaky.

When he actually has faced decent level opposition, none of them have been known punchers. Lucas was probably the biggest hitter out of them all, and he's probably middle of the road at best.
The fact that Danny hasn't been dropped against guys like Beyer, Lucas, and Mundine doesn't do much at all to say that he has a good chin. It's not terrible, or bad, but IMO, it shouldn't be ranked anywhere better than 'fair' from what we've all seen.

I've always thought that Paul Briggs would have at least taken a decision from Green if they fought because Greeny never had a fight with someone who aggressively targeted him, most of his top fights have been against counter-punchers or backfoot type fighters, even mundine fought mostly off the backfoot against a weight drained green.
When you spend your whole career being the chaser it makes it difficult being chased

I don't know if his chin specifically, but the all round toughness of big Col Wilson always amazes me.. I'd put him down from what I've seen. Can't wait for the Leapi v. Wilson fight.

Yeah i guess he hasn't been tested but Lucas, Beyer, Mundine, Stripes were all world title holders so it's not like he's facing domestic fighters like the majority of the original list are.

Green took some sledge hammers off Jason De lisle (spelling?) the same punches tha tJasom has put others on the deck including Clinton Woods, he also took some big rights from Mundine and didn't even buckle, which the same punches have knocked other guys out, i would have him in the top ten, Sakio is in there yet he was wobbled a few times in the contender even by Soliman if i remember correctly in the finals.

I think the best chin in this country belongs to John Wayne Parr.
I know he's back to KB now, but boy, I've never seen him so much as stunned from either feet, elbows of hands.
He gets my vote.

You could pick the same stuff out for around half of the guys on that list. Guys like Clenshaw and Delic who are your typical go-to-war domestic level type fighters, St Clair very rarely got hit flush, Sakio's opponents are pretty similar from a punch/power standpoint. While Greeny typically faught guys who like to box, I've seen him take some stick and known punches or not, it goes without saying, the better fighters hit you more often and in better spots. Im not saying Green stacks up with the best in the world, but surely you could line him up with domestic level guys.

Green took some flush bombs from Mundine, his chin is decent.. I like Dawson too, when he took that 3 or 4 punch combo from Geale square on the chin I was wincing..

I like Dawson too, when he took that 3 or 4 punch combo from Geale square on the chin I was wincing..Green took some big shots from Mundine in their fight, he shrugged most of them off. People need to watch the fight again to see how hard Mundine was hitting :deal

Yeah, fair enough. I guess he boasts one of the sturdiest chins on the domestic scene.
Not sure getting clobbered by Mundine does much for the argument though, because Mundine doesn't exactly have 'great' power, even when he was at 168.

I wonder if he will get back to boxing.....I know hes the king in KB....interesting to see him training/ bringing out fighters for the Mundine card the other day...he does have a good chin....and even better legs..... standing after some of the huge shots he has taken down low.

Big Col has a great chin. Only gets stopped due to being unfit for not bothering to train. Hope he trains for alex, if he's fit he should win again.

Alex Leapai should rate a mention...
Dominator De Mori landed the biggest right hands & uppercuts in his life on him and he kept coming.
The one time he went down was when Baden hit him in the back of the head when his back was turned.

Willie's record is unblemished except for the chair thrower's mate - he did get him early and unaware though.

Alot of guys have good chins but everyone and anyone can get caught on any given day! Some of the toughest guys going have been dropped or KO'd/Stopped and its not to say they dont have good chins we are all human after all!!!
To say someone cannot be KO'd would be foolish ANYONE can be KO'd.............but i like the list.
Chauncy Welliver has one of the best chins I know of! He should not have been stopped by Solis the was premature! But I've seen him take hellacious shots can smile and keep comming forward

Yes I can read & I've already answered the post marcus. I'm just responding to The Tuamans quote of everyone can get KOed, & saying that not everyone falls into that category. So I think you need to remove the slap from my forehead.

So your telling me its humanly impossible for Hagler to be Ko'd? of course will will never find out now in a boxing ring, but i think its foolish to say because this guy or that guy never got KO'd that they cannont actually be Ko'd? I've seen some tough, granite chinned warriors starched with single punches! Anyone can be Ko'd
