could you imagine what danny green or anthony mundine woulda done to victor oganov. zuniga certainly doesnt hit as clean, hard or straight as those two, and he destroyed him. fenech the mug had his boy ko'ing both of them. im afraid that petty thief woulda got his man nearly murdered!!!bad luck to oganov, only pity is he wasnt with fenech still , at least the little maltese coulda been teed off on by us internet nerds.[hope you all didnt take offence to the nerd crack]

Yeah, Green and Mundine would of both beaten him very badly, but I think most of us knew this long before today.

Danny use to flog oganov in sparring when they were stablemates:deal
I swear every jab Danny threw landed flush on his nose:!:

with respect to Jeff Fenech he put ****** Rowsell in the ring with Ricky Hatton and it was an obscene beating. Fenech had no place exposing his fighter to that risk of a terrible beating, its like putting a kindergarten kid in the ring with an adult, it ended Rowsells will to ever fight again

I couldnt think of a worse fight for Jus to fight after such a lay off. He had like 8 rounds in 2 years.

Shame about Jus, he was a pretty good contender back in the day, never really recovered from the Ndou debacle.

I remember the buildup to the Rowsell vs Ndou fight with Fenech running off at the mouth but not the actual fight. What was the story?

Without trying to sound like a hugger, I was always of the opinion that Mundine would have picked him to bits (but not KO'd him) and a fight with Green would have been an interesting slugfest - and not because I think Green is bad, but more or less because of styles. But after this I think Green would have ripped him up too.

We really need to set up a national taskforce, the "Rescue fighters from Fenech" taskforce.

I have always been of the beleif that Oganov was not a top contender and was bound to be cuaght out sooner or later it was just a mtter of him stepping up to better opposition before he would be found out.

And Im all go for the Fenech task force

nrgetic, I recall the fight. It was horrible really. Hatton really tee'd off. It was memberable for Fenech throwing the towell in and some severe body shots.

Its a national disgrace, the Federal Government needs to step in.
We need the army in Marrickville and blockading Fenech's house, we need ASIO surveilling watch and fruit shops. Each state needs to send 150 policeman each to help this taskforce, I dont care pull them from the front line, from APEC, from security at the lodge, from whatever it takes.
I say dont just stop at a task force, maybe police departments need to have a special squad dedicated to Fenech along side Homicide and narcotics. Nah scratch that we need a federal ministry dedicated to it, the Ministry of Fenech Affairs, headed by ****** Manolikos.

Fenech needs to be stopped, he is like the equineflu of the boxing industry.

I dont know why people think that we owe somebody special treatment just because they did something great in the past, that was just as much for them as it was for us.

Fenech's record as a trainer is atrocious but I will say that Im not sure it would have made all that much difference if these guys were under someone else.
In fact Fenech I thought was a good choice to train Oganov, Victor is strong and can punch and never in his whole career bothered to learn anything else. His short stocky build and aggressive style would have been perfect for Fenech the mould I would have thought. Cant expect Fenech to change the habits of a 30 year old with nearly 100 am and pro fights combined in 1 fight.

He is a watch thieving, fruiterer bashing bastard though.

On the Fenech topic I lost all respect for him when I was a kid watching him train at Newtown police boys club.
Whenever another person walked in to train that was around his age or older he waould give them shit and ask them to jump in the ring with him(and he was champion at this time)and most of these guys were just there to train but he had such a big head that I at a young age then maybe 9-10yr thought he was a total wanker.
Laughed my head off when my older cousin who is the same age as Fenech knocked him out cold at a night club after giving my cousin some lip.
And beleive me my cousin was taller but probably weighed the same as Fenech but I tell ya he could punch like a heavy as I seen him fight a couple of times on the footy feild and the last time was when he was locked up and was playing footy outside and there was an all in brawl I will allways remember this my cousin being skinny playing in the centers and this big prop ran at him to punch on my cousin stood his ground waited for him to get close enough and then wham one punch this huge prop was on the ground ko cold.So loved it when Fenech had a go at my cousin and got Knocked the fuck out.
Allways known him to be a wanker since I was a kid and nothing has changed with him.

Green gets hit by everyone he fights. He has lousy defense so in that respect I would give Oganov some slight chance given his power. Oganov wouldnt get near Mundine, even with one eye.

why did this not make the news fenech being a high profile figure?
a. nobody who seen it wanted to make an easy few hundred reporting it to the media.
b. fenech used his influence to keep it hush hush.

Treated me like an absolute champion when I was at the Hopkins v Eastman weigh in... Couldn't say a bad word about him.

To be honest, I don't really care what he's like out of the ring anyway. He's a 3 different weight champion (4 really). That's all I care about.

Naseem Hamed ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) was an elite boxer but an absolute piece of crap outside the ring. I think it does matter the quality of a person, that why sports people can have such a distorted grip on reality and accountability as the general puclic idolise them to an extent of forgiving what is patently unforgivable. Jeff Fenech stole when he had no need to - what does that say about him!

I think there is a massive misunderstanding on this forum which is we are all individuals and we all live seperate lives. In the ring is fair game but out of the ring i'd say is private unless invited. Gee this watch thing! I remember when I was about 22, I went to an ATM machine and someone forgot to remove their bank card so I thought f--k it & I withdrew 'wait for it a massive 2 hundred dollars'. We all make mistakes but Karma catches up on you so let it be! I wonder is there anyone else out there game enough to publicly display a mistake they have made in their lifetime? OR is there name/pride too big!

I didn't get a phone call of thanks because I didn't deserve it. Nice chatting to you guys, have a great day.:good
