Before he retires. I mean if he beats McBride supposedly he gets a shot at a belt.
Why? This guy has blown so many chances its ridiculous.

he's got a good fanbase and can sell out any arena in chicago, boxing is about money and as long a golota's fights are profitable, he'll keep getting big fights
Don King likes Golota, and has said himself that Golota was screwed by the judges against both Byrd and Ruiz. Obviously, Golota had one of his self-destructed nights against Brewster. So they say give him another shot, anything's possible in today's division.
Weird thing is, I met Golota last week and asked if he was going for another title-shot. He was like duh, I don't know, I just like to fight.
I thought it was a fair answer.

The only real undeserving title shot he got was against Byrd. The one against Lewis was also a iffy situation because of how the 2 Bowe fights went.Technically he did lose but win i guess.
Some feel he got screwed in the draw so he wanted a rematch.Byrd refused to settle the score so King got him a fight against Ruiz.Again a close and controversial decision.I dont know why there wasnt a rematch but after the 2 contoversial decisions he deserved another shot.He blew it against Brewster.

Golota still have tolls to beat anybody so he may get as much shots as he wish.
Even he will be destroyed in 30 seconds he will be back at his age of 42 and get next title shot.
Usually anybody who have a real chance to win the title should get the shot.
You may think: fighter A .... he stands no chance against this champion,
this mean he do not deserve the title shot.
Then you think: Golota may definitely beat him if he keep his brain straight this time ...
so Golota immediately deserves the shot.
One day you may think however: Golota is finished he do not stand any chance this time ...
then Golota should retire.

BINGO!
Its not entirely about fairness, its mostly about who sells tickets.
I also think King wants to give Golota another run cause he barely lost to Ruiz, and drew against Byrd before that. So I can see Golota deserving another title shot, if he were to beat McBride, then someone else a bit higher ranked. Certianly.
But him getting a titleshot directly after beating McBride will be a bit premature, in my opinion. He should have to fight someone a bit more credible after McBride.
McBride is not exactly what you'd call, the step just below a world title. LOL

Bingo. If you're popular, as Golota inexplicably STILL is, you'll keep getting title shots as long as you can remotely qualify. People sometimes forget boxing is a business.
Besides, Golota's many title shots are also a product of the ridiuclous amount of fractional belts that are out there.:yep

Verry true. Do you know how much money King made off of Golota? Pffft.... A lot to say the least. Golota is the only fighter in history to get 3 title shots in a row. Why? $$$$$$$$$$$

I believe we wil see Golota in 1 more title fight, (if he keeps winning) he can fill an arena and has a decent following all of this equals $$$$$$$$$$.

Golota will get as many titles shots as the Klitschko-hating (b/c they won't give him options on their fights) Don King can get him.
King understands the value of race-baiting as well as any promoter ever has. He wants a 'legit' white heavyweight very badly so that his stable of guys can fight for the title and/or fight a 'contending' white heavyweight (and thus make $$$ for King as he promo's a black-white, or other 'inter-racial' fight). Golota is King's personal "Great White Hope," and has been for what seems forever.
King is ruthless, but he's not dumb. And so the Golota "Express" rolls on...and on...

To be fair, Golota was barely beaten by Ruiz, and never got his Byrd rematch, which he clearly deserved by earning a draw against Byrd.
So even though Brewster took Golota out in a matter of seconds, lets kind of give him a pass on that :yep , and look back to his Ruiz and Byrd fighta. So if we all look back to those fights, Golota is certainly deserving of another run at a title. :good

Golota doesn't have the mental make up to be a champion.
The nut job Golota of the 90s obviously was too screwy to win the big ones, but today's Golota is much stronger mentally. His skills have diminished with age and his car accident, but his showings against Byrd and Ruiz prove he can still more than hold his own with the top guys. He'll get one last shot and then he'll be thru for good. I think he can beat any current champ except Wlad.

He beat Byrd and Ruiz and should have collected two belts.
Lewis and Brewster simply iced him.
