i know the IBHOF is generally good but make some shockers
i like how the thread title is of a Canadian who got inducted but leaves out the scots man
im surprised your not claiming Hugh as british as hes actually been noticed so hes not scottish any more

Naz only retired in 2002
So there is still plenty of time for him to be inducted
There may be more worthy inductees
But Naz is alot better than some of them inducted over the years

Im in no way anti Scottish, im English and one of my favourite domestic fighters of all time is Ken Buchanan .. Whether you prefer McCilvanney to be labelled as a Scot or a Brit it doesnt matter. He is a fantastic boxing writer and im glad hes been recognised in this way ..
I also agree with the previous poster that Naz should be in there, i think he will one day, as he is definately a top 10 Feather ATG for me ..

I think Naz at his best would give any of these guys some serious trouble, at his best he was comparable to Roy Jones for his reflexes and his power was unbelievable at this weight .. I would concede that he didnt fulfil that potential but a prime Naz definately gives some of these guys problems, obviously not Pep or Arguello, Salvador Sanchez never faced a guy as unorthodox as Naz, neither did Azumah ....... Naz had a style that makes it very unpredictable on how mythical matchups playout, Naz's later fights live long in the memory though and he was often ragged but he was a sensational fighter ..
Its impossible to work out how a fight between Abe/Jim and Naz would go but obviously i rate Naz's abilities far higher than you but hey its all about opinions ..
I'd be interested to know how you rate Scott Harrison and Alex Arthur, who i rate as truly average fighters and its nothing to do with nationality ..

good points AXL you know your stuff. Well backed up argument.
I just think Nazs style hindered him abit he was too unorthodox his defence was abit suspect and his balance was terrible, abit amatuerish, and the top class guys make you pay for that.
you can disguise your racisim all you like. :rofl
I rate harrison pretty high he was very strong and was busy and went out and tried. Not necessarily the best but a solid champion and a tough fight for the top class guys who would out class him but be made to work.
Arthur was a guy i thought was great winning his interim title and i wanted him to do well. He had a patient style and you never know he could have maybe beat a weaker champion on a bad day but he did his best and lost to Cook. I wish Arthur well he could probably be a European champ or European level at LW
