This forum spends so much time on negatives (Mundine's opposition over & over again, etc)
What about the positives...
How good are the local match ups this Friday night? Unbelievable, I m going to the Gold Coast, but I wish I could be going to all 3 fight nights this Friday...Congrats to all promoters involved ... KEEP EM" COMING!
The Fletch debuts on the gold coast also debuting is Tommy" The Gun a light welter trained by Hurricane Briggs, the hurricane reckons he will be world champ within 24 months:admincant wait for both these boys to light things up! Also on the card is the pride of Chinchilla Shane McConville a light heavy who has been very impressive so far up against the unbeaten Phil Malley (Someone's "0" had got to go) And then the main the rematch between Wilson & Leapai, I feel Leapai along with Kirby is the custodian in waiting of the heavy division here in OZ and should be too much for Col, but really when has Col ever read the script? An upset wouldnt surprise.
Then in Sydney Jnr is fighting one the mystery men of Oz boxing for the middle title Ben Cramton, ben has a very impressive record but has a very unimpressive profile, I cant remember ever seeing him on telly? I could be wrong tho I cant remember seeing him, anyway sjhould be a good step up for Jnr who is on a roll as of late. Also on the same card is the fearless Rob Toomey who is locking horns with one of the most feared men in the country King Davidson, congrats to Gummy for always taking the fights no one else wants.
Then in Melbourne the highly touted Serge Yannick will certainly have his hands full with Townsville's own Joel Casey a very interesting cross roads battle indeed, also on the card look for an upset when Flash Villacura takes on the unbeaten Ianazzo, I saw Flash fight Brunker last week and push him all the way I think the lower weight will suit the Pinoy.
Any way fight fans , enjoy!:bbb
