what a joke, anyone who seriously thinks that fat chump rogers or old man mercer could make any serious in-roads in mma following a couple of flash in the pan ko's is either a complete sadist or just plaine stupid,in fact lets give bas rutten a call he loves a challenge im sure he could adapt a choke hold around the workings of a zimmer frame or maybe in the case of rogers he could lend him his bob sapp instructional dvd and get some technical advice (iv never seen anyone as dire as that guy) if anything he may at least shed a few pounds!!:D

I agree, I mean you can get lucky once in a while but if these guys were put on their back by anyone who knew what they were doing it would be over. This would happen everytime.
They simply got lucky fighting
1. AA who seems to have turned his back on his Sombo and has a glass jaw.
2. TS who was always shite and was over confident, stupid and also has a weak jaw.
If you put either in with wrestlers or bjj practitioners it wouldn't even be a fight.

Beating AA and Sylvia are quality wins. They landed concusive punches, end of. Such is MMA. It's not about styles etc but who can execute what. GSP is a much more complete fighter than prime RJJ but should RJJ land like he would want to then he is in trouble.

Mercer is a bad man! All of MMA is now shaking in their boots!yes a mas epidemic of parkinsons can plainly be seen permeating the likes of couture, nog, fedor etc following the destruction of the human lampost by the mercilless one..
gonzaga, mir, barnett and crocop are virtual blobs of gellatine.
*newsflash* ray mercer makes his octagon debut and ko's gonzaga meanwhile rogers flaunts his technical prowess against the likes of the above mentioned bums and earns the title shot against mercer, then outerdrake wakes up wipes the excesses of the aforementioned wet dream away and drowns his delusion in a bowl of porridge whilst fliping through the pages of kevin randlemans auto-biog pine'ing for what could have been and praying for the coming of the next "great black hope"..

:dealMy avatar is Kongo with Cain knocked down.
Its what i thought about the fight, kongo came to bang standing, Cain took it to the ground.Kongo was good enough not to get finish on the ground. If he powers up his striking. He should be able to finish Cain next time.It s mma.you don't have to be undefeated to still become a champion.
btw, i don't care about Bret Rogers.
You can't take a joke.

You can't take a joke.once again the blindly obvious washes over your head, kongo will never be champion....
its that simple, kongo is in his prime and at the peak of his powers but hes just not good enough.

i know mercer isnt gonna beat anyone like fedor or barnett or even mid card type fighters like kongo and crocop but i would love to see the merciless one fight brett rogers i think you would see the same result as with tim sylvia because rogers would probably be stupid enough also to try and stand and trade with big rayray and end up out damn cold too just like timmy sylvia

Yeah these two are not going to make it far. I expected way more out of AA, and I figured TS would pull out a win.
AA used to be lethal and TS was always flat footed and I don't know why he wants to be a pro boxer its non sense.

Strike Force should run out and get Mercer to fight Rogers....
I think Rogers would win fairly easily and it would help build hype without placing him in a great deal of danger.
Personally I don't think either of these guys goes very far, but if they can make them look credible then they can be sacrificed to someone who can make a good run of it.

had all the tools, great athlete but always lacked that certain something,he's clearly on the wain now though. From the time that guy made his debut in MMA i never saw it. He looks the part is very athletic for a big man but mentally AA just doesnt have the tools to be a great fighter. He doesnt think and most of all he spends far too much time listening to idiots drool over his socalled boxing skills. AA has neglected many aspects of MMA to concentrate on something he actually isnt very good at. Couple this with his awful chin and results like his loss to Rogers arent surprising in the slightest.

:good He could be way better at it though...(but it's not a necessity in mma)... Thing is , he doesn't listen..or maybe he' s the type who does great in sparring sessions but who does the total opposite as soon as he's confronted to real combat situations...
Anyway , the way i see he'll keep making the same mistakes over & over again...
