Has anybody got this video/magazine collection?

I have and I haven't watched it since I was a kid. What a collection this is. I watched the first one last night and plan to watch them all over the next few weeks. There's some top fights there.

Just wondered what everyone else though of it

I had the full collection on video but I put them on Ebay when the DVD version came out. Great collections, the magazines wern't the most in depth but its all about getting and watching fights really, isn't it?

Kos, I think I have like 70 videos and a magazine for each video detailing the fighters and fights. IMO its well worth investing in even if only on VHS

Actually, after researching I realised what the collection is. I have the first one (Ali), but I was quite young and only purchased the cheap first issue :yep

Got the full set on DVD, and the mags in binders and the free copy of When we were Kings that came with a subscription.

Never watched any of them yet!

Not sure mate, it would be quite a lot to buy in one go (60+ DVDs times 7 or 8 quid!!) but at the time it was just something like a directt debit for £12 a month for 2 copies, much easier on the wallet!!

£60isn't bad mate. If I can find space i'm tempted to keep them coz it'll cost more to buy those kind of Fights/DVD's and its a top little collection to have really.

IIRC the fights on the DVD verision is slightly different from those on the videos, also the videos were numbered slightly different depending on where you lived in the country. I missed number 5 and had murder getting the right video off Marshall Cavendish because number 5 was something like Frazier in one area and Marciano in another.

the guy getting me the DVD meets all the guys who come over for after dinner speeaches and he emails Pryor regulary. and spent a whole day with Arguello and he has that pic signed. He has heaps of stuff

I got all the videos, thought the ring binders were not up to much and have had to put them all in sleeves. I have oftenm wondered at the start is the boxer on the speedball Julius Francis?? :think
