I read it on a PR paper that the rematch is in the works...this time Kermit will be the Champion defending his title. Especially since the Cintron vs Feliciano was cancelled:happy

Couldn't be worse timing for Cintron. Margarito has something to prove & will be coming out with guns blazing! If Cintron has a mental thing about Margarito knocking him out, He will quickly fold under the pressure. It is very difficult to get a knockout out of your head, especcially if you fight the same guy again.

I read just recently that Emanuel Steward was trying to set up a fight with P. Williams, did it mention anything about those discussions falling through??

Well margarito did not technically knock him out..He just beat him into a crying submission...I do think margarito should be the favorite here b/c he made him cry the first time.. But Cintrons right hand is alot more developed..Margarito might get too cocky and walk into it...he wont just shrug it off.....he will be stuck on stupid.

I haven't seen enough improvement in Cintron to think he could actually win a rematch with Margo. I think he'll last longer but the result will eventually be the same as the first, a KO victory for Margarito.
If I were Cintron's management I'd wack out a couple more lesser welters like Feliciano or an Alfonso Gomez, and then go after Margo. As of right now I just don't think he's quite ready yet. I think David Estrada, Mark Suarez and Walter Dario Matthysse are all better than the 2 you mentioned.:deal

I see the same result, just later on.
Bit of a style thing, bit of being not that confident that Cintron can tough out Magarito.
Ill will certainly welcome another highlight reel KO from Kermit.

why was the fight cancelled? anyway, i think margo will come out more focused because he's coming of a loss, but then again cintron wants revenge. pretty goos storyline for a fight

Fighting Quintana or Collazo a couple of solid fighters, top notch competition. Will bring Cintron's reputation back up to the top. Then the public would be calling out for Cintron's redemption against Margarito. He should make a few defenses first. Maybe give Berto A shot? He's young, his time will still come, If he Loses to Margarito again at this point, His Career will be buried...

Another man in the mix is DLH. He's supposedly looking for a non-puerto rican to fight in May at 47. I suppose if Margarito had a belt, he might be even more tempting.
IMO, Cintron has improved. margarito would certainly be a guage of how much.

Even if Cintron has improved under the tuteledge of Steward. I think we shall see a rerun. Margo is inside Cintrons head, and Margo needs to redeem himself after the Williams loss. Logical fight to me.

Margo is garbage and notice how his fanbase has gone quiet. I will never forgive the Margo-boosters for their 2 year long hyping of a guy to be the number 1 Welterweight with the ability of a fringe contender.
On top of it, Margarito is the whiniest, most disrespectful fighter in boxing and believed his own hype. I hope he gets matched with Cintron again and gets brutally KOed this time around, showcasing what a fluke the first one was.

What the hell has Cintron done to make people forget about his diasterous performance against Margo (who happens to be the only class guy he's ever fought) to have him ranked with Cotto, Williams, Shane, Mayweather, Clottey and Margo?
Well, he won a belt and that makes him a guy people will want to fight.
Margarito lost his and a possible title fight against DLH on say Cinco De Mayo?? Will help Margarito say YES.
As for forgetting?? Cintron has a belt and therefore opportunity? He could take his shot at making people FORGET and righting a wrong.

De La Hoya certainly had no problems fighting all the best mexican fighters around when he was in his prime. Now he don't want to offend the Puerto Rican's?! Just match him up with Margarito, let him get KTFO so he can retire to Puerto Rico. What an Asshole!!

I'm no Margo fan but this is a power play move for him, if he can do it again.
Personally, i would have rather seen Williams vs Cintron and a two belt champion, but perhaps that's a dead issue.

Apparently, his wife Mili doesnt want him fighting Puerto ricans and Cintron is Puerto Rican.

Williams is stylistically made for Cintron, he will stay clear.

Cintron claimed on an August conference call that Williams was ducking him and that he had an amateur style and wouldnt hold up to his power shots. He also said he's tired of people saying he doesnt want that fight and made it CLEAR that he does.
Steward in a seperate interview expressed a strong desire for that matchup.
I'm not disagreeing with you're assesment, just stating what they've said

Obviously beating Cintron will help Margo cuz Kermit got a title, who said anything about that anyway? Cintron won a belt (in an elimintor of all things) in a tooth and nail fight with a nobody in Estrada then beat two more nobodies so he gets mentioned with the greats/legit guys in the division? Cintron is a joke of champ, he is the David Diaz of the WW division and will surely lose against any of the 6 guys I previously mentioned.
Easy chief, I'm not a fan of Marg or Cintron:good I just want to eventually see the WW division UNIFIED. There are a number of circumstances financial and political that will have an effect on what fights get made.
I like SSM, Cotto, and Quintana at 47. Hate to see SSM and Cotto fight each other but all I know is Floyd can run but not HIDE from the winner:good

Cintron will fold again under pressure once he realizes that his punches have no effect on Margo. Expect history to repeat itself once more.

i say cintron should fight paul williams first ... once he beats williams that will give him some confidence and leverage at the bargaining table in a rematch against Margo as he will have defeated margo's conqueror (somewhat) and he will have two titles !

If Cintron can keep his balls on long enough he def has the ability to rip Margo's head off. I'm leaning towards and confident Cintron weathering and Margo storm and eventually scoring another highlight KO for the fans to watch on youtube for years to come.

I think people were more intrigued with the ass whipping Margarito gave Cintron the first time and then viewed the highlight reel of Cintron crying like a little bitch on Youtube. :yep
Yeah, that was some funny shit....Kermit seemed like an emotional mess, maybe they can edit a combo by putting together what Margo did in the first bout and then what Kermit will do in the second bout. If kermit folds again it will be a hilarious comedy but if Kermit starches Margo it will resemble a horror flick.
