I prefer the coverage on Setanta & ITV4 where they build up to the main event rather than on Sky where they start with the main event.
However on the German shows I prefer to go straight to the main event. I then pick and choose the undercard fights next morning on Sky+

But the German cards on setanta mean we (ESB) have a big input into the show, plus we get to see the undercards live, which is better.
Totally disagree with you mate.

sky for the big international fights usually do have a good build up and much better than setantas, they always would show the full televised undercard maybe 4 or 5 compared to setantas 1 or 2
its friday fight night where they start with the main event and i doubt anyone has complaints as the undercards rarely interest me, hopefully they have an ok build up but starting at 10 sat night im doubtful

I might be wrong but I thought...
Sky show the top of the bill live and then show highlights of the undercard after??
Setanta just show the lot live. Which is pretty boring sometimes tbh so I prefer Sky's way of doing it.

Depends on the undercard. If it's some Armenian guy against a Latviabum then I'd prefer to watch it on Sky + later and go straight to the main event.

Will they show Ustinov's fight on Sky also?

Doubt they'll show much of the undercard folks, its only listed for 2 hours so i suspect it'll be in a friday fight night format, show the main event live then highlights of some of the undercard.
I prefer Setanta, I'd much rather see full fights than highlights. Sky's PPV build up is decent though to be fair, but you'd epect it for paying them fifteen quid!

I like settling down with my beers and enjoying as much boxing as I can. A stacked undercard, even in Germany, lets me see up-and-coming fighters and gets me in the mood for the main event.
Plus, Sky's presentation is too slick and artificial and dull - chilling out with the Bunce and Kerr double act - complete with occasional shout outs to the ESB Brit forum - is miles more enjoyable.

I completely agree. Sky's presentation for fights is the same every time- you just know what's coming. At least Setanta mix it up a bit and debate things with the fans rather than put insipid questions to the former 'Commonwealth Champion'. I also can't stand the guy that presents boxing coverage on Sky- top class twat, IMO. You can tell he just reads everything off of an autocue and has absolutely no idea of what he's on about. I'd actually love to see him take a question from a fan watching.

You see a LOT more action on a Sky US show than you do on Setanta...
Sky show 4-5 fights and we're lucky to get more than 2 on Setanta.
