... To the sport of boxing and puts things into perfect perspective?
I have round 5. Brooklyn1550 has round 7(a good choice) and I may change my prediction to whatever round Zakman chooses, since he is the master of picking when a disgrace falls.:D
Furthermore, it's early in the week and the ever present apologist population seems to think that 1 over hyped joke can take a shot well, despite not showcasing much of a sturdy beard against fighters who throw feather dusters. Sometimes you just feel animosity towards apologists, don't we?

As you said, round 7:good Although it wouldn't surprise me to see it come earlier.
Nothing against JT, I just see him getting knocked out.

Did you know that I purchased a pricey bottle of wine to pop open in the event that our prediction comes true?

If its gonna happen, and I hope it does, i'd say round 10.
I'm beginning to get an uneasy feeling about this fight, as in, Taylor might win by decision. A motivated and well conditioned Taylor, will have to slow down before any such KO will occur. Taylor's jab will be a difficult obstacle to overcome in the early going. Once JT tires and spends some energy, Pavlik will have an opportunity to get in range and be effective with his combos.

Hey no problem with me bruh . . . this is a forum. :good
Pavlik is not going to win...Taylor's jab and athleticism will do the job, plus he has enough power to keep Pavlik honest...yes Pavlik looked good against a backyard bully in Miranda, who was weight-drained, but he also took big shots from Miranda...Pavlik will get hit HARD against Taylor also but Taylor has more skill and smarts than Miranda...Pavlik can't outbox Taylor, and doesn't have the speed to outslug Taylor either...Taylor TKO 11 Pavlik...

Pavlik better win by KO because Taylor can't lose a decision on HBO.:yep Yet another reason why you should pick Taylor in this fight.

I felt pretty good after re-watching Taylor/Winky the other day. Winky of all people was repeatedly driving Taylor into the corner and a couple of those times was straight smashing Taylor in the face. "If" Pavlik manages to land even a portion of those shots it could really bode well for him. The fight is now up on youtube full fight. If yall haven't seen that one in a while check it out, cause Winky was bustin that ass.:good

midrounds probably somewhere between 5-7. if tiny ouma was backing taylor up pavlik should be able to do the same. pavlik better work on his head movement too he's too erect sometimes
Pavlik By K.O. In 4 Rounds. After At Least 1 Or 2 Knockdowns He's Out And Can't Get Up.
I hope jermain breaks pavlic jaw off the henges, only because you guys are not showing the man any respect...

So Amsterdam, what will be your reaction if Taylor blows out the hype machine known as Pavlik, moves up in weight and defeats the guy in your avatar. Will that be too much for your mind to handle?:huh

He could possibly beat Pavlik, but JC is impossible for him to defeat by styles and intangibles.
If that did happen, I'd be utterly amazed, to say the least.

I think it will give you some confidence in your prediction, then, that I have been saying since this fight was announced that Taylor falls in five, or less. :nod:D
All of these apologists are gonna have quite a bit of egg on their faces when Pavlik shows exactly WHY Taylor's been fighting nothing but light-hitters moving up from lower weight classes ever since Hopkins - no great puncher himself - rocked him.:yep
Can't get a gift decision when you're lying OUT COLD on the canvas!!:-(

I agree almost completely with C Money's assessment on the first page of the thread. I'm going to say sometime between the 9th-11th round Taylor either gets KO'd or TKO'd. If I have to pick one round, I pick the 11th.

I find this insulting.
Unfortunately, I have sneaking suspicions that Taylor is going to get on his bike and potshot his way to a points win. Pavlik is probably not technically gifted enough to pin the little twat down and smack the shit out of him.
I definitely want to see Taylor abused, but I think hes going to win this one via (a possibly dubious) UD

He can't, he just falls apart under pressure and this time that shaky chin is getting cracked.
So much for a supposed P4P level champion, he's about to get cracked by an otherwise B level MW who can pressure hit, I'm fucking impressed.

pavlik by 8th round knockout!!

i'd say Round 10, which at that point, JT has already wasted a lot of his energy hugging and grabbing Pavlik's body to minimize the hurting.

I'd like to point out that all of the critisizms people make of Pavlik (leaky defense, mediocre hand speed, slow-of-foot, stands up to straight and rigid) were also made of Alexis Arguello, and we know how his career turned out!
I'm picking Pavlik by brutal KO in 7-9 rounds. He'll figure JT out in 4 or 5 rounds, step on the gas, and be rid of him by round 9.
