There's no opponent at 140 that has a name like Castillo or Tsyzu. Is he gonna move up again???

The only fights at 140 that he can get that would get some buzz is against Malinaggi, Witter(in england) and maybe Vivian Harris.
Or if Joel Casamayor or Juan Diaz move up and fight him besides that he gotta move to 147.

Hatton's a natural at 140. No need to go to 147.

Many of us have been saying Castillo was past it since this fight was signed.
Ricky is 2-0 vs big names in the twilight of their careers.
He is a great fighter, but it's time to fight a stud in their prime. (ie: Cotto or PBF)

I'd love to see him fight Witter. He won't, but I'd love to see Ricky take him out.

Yes he was, he strugled to win his last fight and didn't even make weight when he beat Corrales.
Hatton should man up and face Witter.

Floyd is the fight
I'd like to see him and Cotto in a left hook to the body contest. Cotto by TKO!

Prime or not Castillo got destroyed, being a few years older doesn't automatically mean that you can't take a shot all of a sudden just look at the shots big george took in his 2nd career

The winner of Harris vs Witter will most likely be next, unless he moves back up to 147, which I doubt. To much talent there for him. But I would love to see the Baby Bull move up to 140 to beat Hatton :yep

Hatton - PBF would be very good. Both undefeated at the prime of their careers.

There is plenty of fights there for ricky....seriosuly....
There is absolutely no excuse for Hatton to not be getting in the ring with a prime elite fighter or at least A-grade in his next fight...
There is Floyd, Cotto, SSM, Paulie, vicious boxer, Harris, Witter, and even a rematch with Collazo would be impressive if he KOd him...but that wont happen because Collazo would outbox him again...
anyways, i expect a very very top notch fight for his next one and we will be dissapointed with ricky as a fighter if he doesnt as i actually like him....

whatever it is, it needs to be at 147 if he still wants to be considered in the pfp top ten list. Malignaggi is the IBF champ at 140 and Cotto already whipped his ass and Cotto himself isnt really on the list yet.
i would say that Hatton should fight Judah(maybe), Clottey or the winner of the Baldomir/Forrest match next. that would set him in the right path to face the winner of Cotto vs. Margarito/Williams, Mosley or Mayweather soon after that.
any fight at 140 really wont do anything for him. also, fighting Gatti at 147 would be exciting as hell but there's simply better matchups then that for him.
edit: and one other thing, stay away from Delahoya!!

LOL@ Natural weight is 140.. Sureeeee, thats why when hes not fighting he looks like an elephant. He walks around at close to 190lbs so obviously 140 is NOT his natural weight

It's not so easy for a man who is 5 6" with a 65 inch reach to move up to welterweight and be dominant.Hatton would be at a size dissadvantage against even the smaller fighters who have moved up.I don't see any choice but for Hatton to move up in weight if he wants to make major money but his undefeated streak will be over in short order.

Joel Casamayor the sanctioning bodies are screwing him around he should move up since he getting old and take this fight, I'm sure it would be a close fight also a tough test for Hatton.

Never really thought of Castillo as a real challenge, just a good opponent. Did not foresee such an ending though, and I do not think that he is that shot either. Just an excuse people bring up way to often when a favoured fighter (by them) loses.
I would like to see Hatton either move up to face the name fighters, which he should not do if he is not planning to stay, or stay at 140 to fight the other beltholders. I would also like him to win belts and defend them against none handpicked opponents.
Personally, I would rather have him stay at 140 because I think the best at 147 are too big for him.
If he stays at light welter, it has to be the Witter-Harris winner imo.
if he goes to 47 and looks for a superfight, which I think he;ll probably do I think Cotto is the fight!
imagine the atmosphere in the Garden with 9000 Brits and 9000 Peurto Ricans shouting their heads off!
:partytime :party :banana :soccerred :drink
Hatton V the Baby Bull should be made @ an outdoor stadium in Texas. Would be a huge fight, and Hatton would KO him

I thought Castillo would expose Rick well I guess Ricks for real and maybe Castillo isnt the same guy never the less Hatton is no joke lets fight Collazo again cause he lost that damn fight or maybe Zab or a young elite fighter not someone slightly past it and then I will be sure of Hatton. He is no koke but for me the jury is still out until he scraps an elite skilled fighter in his prime, Collazo rematch!!! lets see it
