Didn't even know this fight was on, just read this on fightnews.....

Lightweight Adrian Broner (10-0, 7 KOs) stopped William Kickett (15-2, 5 KOs) in the sixth round of a scheduled eight round bout. Kickett had his moments early in the fight, but Broner controlled most of the exchanges. Broner dropped Kickett at the end of the fourth with a left hook to the head and ended matters with another left hook to the head in the sixth. Referee Jose Cobian counted Kickett out at 2:58 of the round.

He must not be able to take a punch at all. He has been KTFO twice now against ordinary opponents. Back to the domestic scene for the rest of his career imo.

As i've said before never thought much of Kickett, he's a slapper and a lazy one at that, strong guys are always gonna run straight through him

Kicketts got no pop in his punches................... it's not gonna happen for him on the world stage.

I had hopes for kickett, but to me never really showed any development from his 5th fight on, just natural ability but seemedt o just fight in 2nd gear most of the time with no progression.

As i wrote in another post - he was not up to the challenge of fighting o/s or on the world stage.

Kickett's good and he's got natural ability, but the way he drops his hands coupled with his chin makes me wince. To do that shit you either gotta have the reflexes to get out of the fucking way or be able to take a punch. Hope this isn't the end for him.

he just needs to learn from this and alter his style a bit.

Roy Jones Jnr has a lot to answer to for this new wave of Oz fighters who think they can fight with their hands down by their side. Maybe more of them should rewatch the 2nd tarver fight & Johnson fight before they fight that way. Only exceptional speed & reflexes allows you to get away from danger when nothings protecting your melon.

sad news. but i never saw what the fuss was about. i agree with the lazy and slapping comments. always thought there was something half-arsed about how he fights.

ALWAYS felt jackson asiku is vastly superior. i wish someone would move jackson's career in the right direction.

Jean Pascal showed similar traits up until recently .

I think there's a few hard markers at ESB.

William Kickett has great talent but it will take plenty of time before he becomes a complete fighter.

It's a concern that Kicket has been KO'd twice early in his career but I believe the problem is more about refining his style, making the neccesary changes that may include sacrificing some of his offensive arsenal in return for sound defence.

Anyone can be KO'd if the punch hits the mark.

And he's only 22 or something.. Everyone knew from the outset that he would be hyped, people were cautious, but seems as though on the aussie scene we jump on at the slightest bit of promise.

Anyhoo, he has time on his side, he can ammend all this if he wants to.

And everybody in the Australian public was predicting him to become a world champion. It's a bit funny whenever somebody has an undefeated record in Aus, people are quick to judge him as a future world champion...

The jury was out for me when St Clair (in my opinion) won a clear points decision (not given) 12-18 months ago.

As i've previously stated, he has no pop in his punchers.
