If you could go back in time & choose just one fighter who you could see box during their peak, who would it be?

Ray Robinson gets my vote!

Charley Burley, probably against Archie Moore.

Would love to have seen Ali at his prime. Hagler comes close second.

Maybe i'd have to pick a man like Greb that we have no footage of, if you take that factor out though i would choose either Ray Robinson or Roberto Duran.

But at this very moment in time the fighter i am besotted (go on rip me apart!) with is Yoko Gushiken, i would go back in time right now and just sit there in awe at his masterclasses.

A pretty boring and standard answer, but robinson.

If not robinson then benny lynch with hopefully a team around him that would have been able to control his alcholism

steve was thinking the same thing kinda

imagine watching a prime Benny Lynch is a glasgow arena the atmosphere would be mazing and so would Benny

Definetly, think what the atmosphere was like for a harrison fight then times it by 10 if there was a fighter of lynch quality in the ring.

On a side point who do you rate higher lynch or buchanan?

would have been awesome

i rate Buchanan higher he was more established IMO and beat the better names but i rate benny Lynch H2H at Flyweight very highly

Someone with little to no footage like Burley and Greb, probably Burley

Probably correct, the laguna wins are probably the big difference between the 2 careers(as ortiz was miles past prime i don't really rate that), however i fell lynch was slighly more talented, should have done so much more in boxing

Ali is my all time favourite fighter but all his prime is on film, wouldnt you rather see another top tier great who`s prime isnt on tape ?

Being a Cardiff lad myself then Driscoll and of course SRR however taking in a Mickey Walker fight in the States would be a dream trip in a time warp for me .

Above all I would not squander the opportunity by choosing a fighter who we already have footage of.

Lets face it if the oportunity was genuinely on the table it would be a criminal waste to pick a fighter of who there was decent footage at or close to their prime.

Easy. Ray Robinson at welterweight.

Next, probably Joe Louis and then Jack Dempsey.
