You don't have to be a fan, but you need to have faith in his abilities.
Calzaghe doubters are sub-human mate.

Cause everyone has an opinion - so stop worrying about what other people think and do your own thing. Everyone's a Hater about something - so just deal with it.

Different reasons for hating these guys.
Floyd is despised for his style. Joe for the quality of opposition.

That is exactly what it is.
WHile I like FLoyd, im not a big fan of Calzaghe, but I dont hate him, he does have skills. ANd like I said in another thread, I will give him all his respect if he beats Kessler. And whoever else thats an elite fighter that he beats. I wont discredit him.

But unfortunately he beat him TOO WELL which led to people backtracking and claiming Lacy is overrated and green etc etc.
You get more respect for getting a close win against a well established veteran than dominating an unproven rookie.
Plus Calzaghe tarnished the kudos from the Lacy beatdown by looking poor against Bika (bad style matchup but still looked bad winning convincingly) and the farce that was the Manfredo fight.

Simple, Floyds last fight was against a former 6-division titlist, while Calzaghe fought the runner up of a tv reality series.
Oh, just remembered, and the fight before the Pride of Providence was against a guy on this years season of the Contender :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

There is no reason to hate Calzaghe there.
Calzaghe who is taking on the best challenge available to him in Kessler.
Unlike Mayweather who is taking on Hatton in what he considers to be a certain win, rather than face Cotto.

Hatton is top 10 P4P!
So is Kessler mate.
Mayweather goes for big fights, but he isn't as brave as Calzaghe.
Hence he wanted Hatton at 147 after the Collazo performance, rather than 140 for the fans.
Kessler is also top 10 P4P on my balanced, objective non-Americanised list.

So he should go to JWW and fight for Hatton's IBO belt, which would probably result in him getting stripped of his WBC WW title? And people need to stop mentioning the Collazo fight. Collazo comes into his WW bouts weighing 160 lbs. Floyd weighs around 148 lbs. for his WW bouts. Ricky Hatton weighs about 149 lbs. for his JWW bouts. Being that Floyd has no size advantage at WW and being that it would be for a real belt, there is no good reason for the bout to take place at 140.

That is the gorgeous Lucy Pinder with her massive natural breasts. A british topless model. Google her and expand your horizons!
Floyd: American, Black
Calzaghe: not American, not Black
In other words - "biased stereotype, double-standards. Any questions?
Gee, couldn't 5 posts without some fucking idiot playing the race card.
It's especially funny to do that with Mayweather considering most of the American fans here hate him as much as anyone else despite the fact that he's American and black. :-(

No, he didn't follow Calzaghe's lead by trying to make a fight with contender star Alfonso Gomez, but instead went after a P4Per in Hatton. If Mayweather can take streams of shit for fighting a 34-year-old Oscar De La Hoya, why can't we criticize Calzaghe for looking subpar against Bika and taking on Manfredo without being labeled "racists" or xenophobes? As I always say, the ones constantly making bogus charges of racism are the real bigots.
And enough with the weight issue. Mayweather is not a real WW and Hatton can come in at JWW form. This has got to be one of the most ridiculous fucking excuses I've ever heard fans make for a fighter.

I think Calzaghe is one of the most skilled fighters in the game. I gave him a ton of credit after the Lacy fight and I'll give him credit when he's finished with Kessler; however, I was making a point about the real double standards applied commonly on this forum in my last post. My respect for Calzaghe aside, the Manfredo fight was a complete fucking farce. And despite the fact that Joe has plenty of detractors here, he didn't take any where near as much shit for taking that fight as Floyd Mayweather did for not wasting his time (and ours) with Tony Margarito.
On a side note, can you imagine what the reaction on this forum would look like if Floyd signed a contract to fight Alfonso Gomez?

In two of his last 4 fights, Calzaghe will have faced the biggest available challenge.
And in fairness, at the times of the Bika (who was coming of a draw with a world champion) and Manfredo fights there were not any great options available.

Floyd i appreciate, but he runs too much for a man who claims to be the ultimate warrior..
Calzaghe is just the best at what he does, he wins his fights and has proven that he is the best over a long stretch of time.. He continues to be humble yet is ten times what PBF wishes he was.. Floyd is a good fighter but he needs to realise that he is a fake Calzaghe, he is no better yet he wants to be a superstar in places that he immaturely thinks that he belongs, He is a wannabee rapper, but is a childish 50 cent wishiwas.. Stay focussed and you may actually aspire to be as solid a pro that a JC or a Larry Holmes was or is..
You can't buy class...
The difference is people actually want to fight Mayweather, people have been ducking Calzaghe.

The difference is people actually want to fight Mayweather, people have been ducking Calzaghe. Its all about the money and Calazghe wasnt really that profitable until he beat lacy. Calazaghe had the same problem most fighters have, Hopkins didnt really get a big fight after the Roy jones match until he fought trinadad 8 years later. You want to talk about being ducked look at Winky wright the man couldnt get a break for the life of him until fought mosley in 04. Everybody has there sad stories and you have to pay your dues before you get the big fights, unless your olympic gold medalist then you might get to the title a little easier and having Don King as your promoter cant hurt either.
The difference is people actually want to fight Mayweather, people have been ducking Calzaghe.
Yeah, heard that one before too. Everyone has been ducking Calzaghe for a decade and a half. Hell, a green Calzaghe who was still a prospect forced Jones to flee to Light Heavy and James Toney to eat himself out of serious contention for several years.
Joe is almost as feared as Antonio Margarito. :scaredas:

Calzaghe has just been getting on with being a good champ defending quietly while Floyd has been runnin round being a wannabee gangsta , i thing that immature bastard watched too many movies when he was a kid and listened to death row for too long.
Shame he has too much flash and not enough class...
