Get andy kerr on it as well for old times sakes.

Also buncey I have a question for you. Remember you did that documentary for Sky 1 a few years ago with Bhop in it about boxing and crime. You were walking through the Ghettos of Philidelphia and some homedawgs asked u if u were Scottish (highlight of the show for me). Anyway, what was the name of the English fighter who was making a come back after being addicted to crack?

i'd lke bunce to speak a little about jason booth...he looked superb on tuesday...but now we have news stories appearing to indicate that he may get a world title shot at super-bantam...it's amazing that this kid was british flyweight champ 10 years ago...
my question - in bunces opinion would it be a BAD move to throw him into a world title fight, considering the quality of the superbantamweight champs right now..??..or do you think he could move back down in weight ok ?

what was the name of the English fighter who was making a come back after being addicted to crack?

dont think this is the answer...but for some reason i thought about richard hayles, he was inside for 7/8 years for robbery..not crack...he was with brenda ingle, i think he changed his name to richard towers { ?? }, had his pro debut in wigan a few weeks back...big heavyweight 6feet-8"

this guy was a pro before he got involved in crime. He won the British Title and WBU title if I remember correctly before getting involved in crack. At the time of the documentary he was on the come back trail but by the end of it they said they couldn't find him, I think.

Buncey, is there any way of publising the number of listeners after the broadcast or is that impossible to do when you account for the online listeners? I'm only saying it as if there are quite a few of us listening we could put it on the bringbackbunce.net site to show how many listeners and much interest you're still gathering. Just a thought.

Yeah, I took to Tyson Fury the first time I heard him, he is what boxing needs, game as anything, talks the talk - no holding back, but he says things without hesitation, it sounds natural, I hope his career goes from strength-to-strength, he would be great in a big World Heavyweight Marquee event in Vegas in a few years down the line.....

buncey, if this show on bbc london is gonna be a regular, could you please change the intro? that rocky music is nice but it does get cheesy and its the first thing the casual/non-casuals think of

here's a suggestion, with a bit of dramatic music in the background, you play a few famous soundbites or commentary from moments in boxing history, something like

reg gutteridge saying "its all over, well i'm gonna say it that is the biggest upset in the history of boxing" or "3 rounds of MAYHEM"

big george screaming "THE PRINCE IS FOR REAL" after hamed vs kelly

Ali "I shook up the world"

Dundee "you're blowing it son, you're blowing it"

bit of the Irish commentary for dunn vs cordoba or costello's in Froch vs Taylor

ending with Iron Mike at his best "my style is impetious, my defence is impregnable and i'm just FEROCIOUS"

and probabily better ones you'd know, that with a bit of dramatic music would be hair on the back of the kneck raising stuff.

It was a nice start, a nice break from the div II transfer tales or Aussies playing netball - the men play in a Sydney league! Honest.
I will get somebody at BBC London to create a musical top - a bit of Dunne would work. It will be here every Thursday between 9-10pm in July.
Thanks for supporting it.
And, MIK1000...the boxer was Nicky Booth. The film was on Sky One in 2005 and it was called CrimeFighters.

Adios and thanks.

buncey should have a cracking show for us this week, with all the things that have been happening

the SMW tournament
the henny card
khan vs kotelnik bill
maybe news on haye vs vitali

and i'm sure a nice tribute to arturo gatti
