View Full Version : Do we know anything about Fury's chin?

The only clean shot I've seen him hit with was the uppercut he nailed himself with! That was a good shot and he took it and definitely wouldn't have been expecting it...solid whiskers?

I was told he has never been down in the amateurs and never really looked like being hurt - anyone offer any insight?

Don't think anyone knows yet. The only person who has been able to hit him is himself.

Well it has been reported he has a good chin (mainly by Hennessey), will just have to wait until he gets hit flush for the first time.

It's about 6 feet 4 inches off of the ground:D. Other than that we'll have to wait and see.

Yep from what I remember about him in the ameaturs he had a good chin. He was a bit wild in his ameatur days but thats it. He's never been down in the ameaturs

i asked mike perez the cuban heavyweight that a few weeks ago when i saw him in the pub and he said he'd have no problem with him as he'd already knocked him easy when they sparred but i've heard it was the other way aroun aswell so who knows.

I'm pretty sure that shot he hit himself with dazed him. Could be questions marks of his chin. :think

He's injured at the moment(well recovering from surgery)....but all the same not a great sign is it

Edit: actually not sure if he had the surgery or if they decided to let it heal naturally. He's injured anyway.

Price stopped him as an amature so i heard and dropped him heavily.

Owned him twice as an amature i remember him saying.

price was a man and fury stil a boy , id love to see fury - rogan later on in the year for the irish title , i think rogan would test his chin

One thing I can say for sure is that Fury is way to open for a right hand, and to be honest looks pretty vunerable at times. I still like him and he has alot of time to improve but his trainer needs to fix the problem or leave him.

When his stubble grows, it's ginger.

I'm more concerned about his flabby body, he ain't fat, just needs to tone up

Dropped him heavily? Who told you that? I'm pretty certain that is not true, Fury was never down in the amateurs. Fury did however put price down, he was just outpointed, which is no big suprise given Price's experience at the time.

Apparently it's favourite colour is blue.

It has a girlfriend of 2 years.

Passed it's driving test when it was 18.

And likes the odd drink when out of training.

i dont like arrogance much at all, but Tyson to his credit has not done anything wrong as of yet... The Ellis fight and the Belshaw fight showed that he can be selective with his punches and take a fair shot so far.. Time will only tell us about his chops in truth, A Danny Williams or Mike Sprott fight would be great for him , and us as observers..

I don't see Sprott even putting up a fight to be honest although I guess on paper it would be a decent scalp. Sprott just shows up for the pay cheque these days

We know very little about Fury's chin and may not for some time.

Give Fury some time, he has not been fighting very long.

Too early to say but he doesn't look great to me. He looks scared when under pressure. If he gets to meet anyone with any class (I know that's not all that likely in the HW's) he will lose badly imo. Hope i'm wrong but i've seen his type all too often. Hardly any defensive ability.

He should fight Sprott before McDermott. Or Sprott after McDermott.

Lets not forget that David Tua was dropped and stopped in the amateurs with one punch and never looked close to getting KTFO in his whole career, so let's wait before we judge Tyson based on Price.
