Henry Castle Vs Buckland (Eliminator for British Lightweight title) 24th July

Does that mean Murray Vs Thaxton will be very soon or not for a good few months?

Depends what Murray's punishment is for not making the weight v Lawton. There's supposed to be a hearing sometime soon.

Yeah I noticed Castle v Buckland. Not the 2 most likely candidates, at leats not Buckland. It does give a suspicion that perhaps it'll be Thaxton v Limond or would have been Thaxton v John Watson had there been a TV contract for Hayemaker. I hope it's Thaxton v Murray but I have a horirble feeling ti might be Thaxton v Limond. I could be totally off the mark, though.

Shame i can see Limond beating thaxton and doing us out of a good fight. I have been waiting for Thaxton Vs Murray for a good while.

I think the BBBC will move Murray a good bit down at least until they get a new champion and by the looks of it the winner of Castle Vs Buckland will be next in line so maybe 2 or 3 fights time

What gets me about Murray not making weight last time out was if he shaved his head and beard he probably would have made it. I didn't learn ounces at school but the weight of a penny- come on, John! Shave the beard, mate. I suppose in the heat of the moment no-one thinks like that.

As for this fight, Hennessey wants it to happen so that's a pretty good indication as to whether or not it will happen! We've all just got to sit tight and see what Murray's punishment is.

If we couldn't get Thaxton v Murray then I think Thaxton v Limond would be a decent replacement.

I wonder if Murray will turn into the new "Junior Witter" to Amir Khan's "Ricky Hatton"?:think

Limond Vs Thaxton would be a good fight but i think Limond would beat him wrecking any chance of Murray vs Thaxton.

I think that was the fight they were keeping Murray at domestic for anyway.

I think Khan will find his Witter a bit later on :lol:
