I want to see Mercer whoop Kimbo. However, I have a feeling this isn't going to be a standup fight where the boxer can prove his worth here. Kimbo has been training his grappling, and I have a feeling he might wrestle Mercer down and pull off the win. I hope I'm wrong, but I see this fight being a major disapointment.

Me too. I was REALLY rooting for Mercer to destroy this clown, and expose him for the joke he is. In a legitimate boxing match, Ray would still destroy this guy, even at his age.

I don't get it. I watched that fight and Mercer was on top of him, and then the ref just pulls him off, pushes him over, and declares Slice the winner. Looked real phony to me. What a joke UFC is.

yes, mercer surrerendered, he was being choked from the bottom and if he didn't tap out he would have been dead, just like a real fight situation which you have no clue of

How can anyone miss Ray's left hand tapping the canvas? He was getting choked. His only choices were to tap, or pass out.
It was not a boxing match. Kimbo did not cheat. You can watch some of Kimbo's prefight training of youtube. He was training for a fight under MMA rules. This was not set up to a boxing match at any time. Mercer claimed he was working out with jiu-jitsu instructors. Before the fight, Mercer said he should have joined this sport 10 years ago.
People who called Slice, a bum, and now say the fight should have been under boxing rules are not making any sense. Of course that would be different. It still sounds like someone who idolizes Peyton Manning getting uspet if he lost a one on one basketball game to Lebron James. Then trying to say, "oh yeah let Lebron try to pass a football in the NFL."
MMA is a different sport. You have more moves to use than in a boxing match. If you can't outstrike someone, you take them down. The funny thing is, Mercer was outstruck too. I lost 20 dollars on Mercer last night. I'm not going to whine about what would have happened if they went bowling, just because my guy lost.
I bet Ray could beat Kimbo in a tap dancing class. He sure showed he could tap in less time with his hands. Why not his feet? Saying things like the previous two sentences are just a waste of time. Why be mad because someone is better at a different sport?
