A thin sounding thread I know but does anyone know what this might be about? I was thinking along the lines of television after the Setanta collapse.

Good point about the television deal. Usually he sends one of his Top Rank stooges over to deal with things like that, though. Who knows. Maybe he's left a tenner in a London hotel room- I wouldn't be suprised to see him travel this far to get it back.

sounds promising as there are lots of rumours that ESPN UK are looking at other content this week for new channel. The new channel has to be set up before next month when the prem league starts. They will have a HD channel too for anyone who like me is a bit of geek.
Hope Bob is telling the truth today though!

Source?
Was reading an article over at the scene about the Cotto v Pac fight and them struggling for a date in October and in passing it mentioned that he was in London for a meeting - nothing else was mentioned. Just thought it was interesting to pick it out from the article.

The US broadcaster ESPN has announced plans to launch a new UK sports channel, called ESPN, on 3 August.
The channel will show the 46 live Barclays Premier League football games for which it bought the rights that Setanta lost when it missed payments.
The channel will also show some of the US sports to which ESPN owns rights.
ESPN has reached an initial deal to have the channel shown on Sky, but it is in talks with all UK pay-TV platforms about carrying the service.
ESPN Fight Nights would be a bonus with the addition Sky's 'increased coverage' in principle things are brightening up

I think that Bob loves tennis. Perhaps it was Wimbledon.
Adios.

I think its more likley he is trying to keep Froch avalible for a Pavlik fight. 5 of the guys entering the tournement could of been opponents for Pavlik who is his 2nd biggest earner and now they are all tied up until 2011.
