this is a hard match up for gerald cos he was really struggling like crazy to make middle, so he would lose power and stamina in a long fight which it could be, also arthur has a cast iron chin as we saw in the miranda fight, but the g man's punching power is on a different level than miranda's. i think gerald stops arthur in 5

I really never considered McClellan a middle. He tended to come in the ring at 180. Typical Kronk starvation tactics and weight games. That said, I think he was very over-rated. His best wins were over guys naturally much smaller than him.

Abraham comes in the ring just as heavy as McClellan used to.

I remember against the Jackson McClellan looking twice his size and unconfirmed reports of him weighing 180. Does Abraham really come in the ring this big? He's a few inches shorter, I think.

Anyways, to the question, I think Abraham punches sharper but McClellan proved to what lengths he would go to stay in a fight and carried great thudding power. Also, Abraham proved the lengths he would go against Miranda.

I say this would be eerily reminiscent of Benn-McClellan (hopefully without any tragedy)...

McClellan usually came in 176-177.

Abraham comes in 175.

About the same altough he is 5'9 and McClellan is 6'1

Mclellan was a brutal puncher and a fair boxer. Hard to call if Abraham could make it out of the first few rounds.

Gerald. Covering up and being inactive = death against a puncher like McClellan.

Tricky fight because as explosive as he was, Mclellan never knocked out a fighter who hadn't already been KO'd before he got to them, and he didn't have the mentality to box after losing a couple decisions early in his career. I think Abraham, with the patience, tight guard, and iron chin, outlasts the G-man for a late KO.

Abraham has never been knocked down or seriously hurt. Since a rock hard chin usually outlasts a rock hard punch, i'm pretty sure this one goes the distance. In fact, i think Abraham is more likely to win by TKO than McClellan is, whose defense was not that great in my opinion.

McClellan would knock him out in brutal fashion.

People shouldn't overlook the fact that McClellan was a trendemous body puncher and Abraham in my opinion is very vulnerable to the body.

He is durable for sure but several times now he has claimed to have injured his ribs after his fights (even though he had won).

I believe Benn said that the worst punch he ever took was a left hook to the body from McClellan.

McClellan did not have the all round game needed to beat Abraham.

The G-Man of course is going to be a huge threat for the first half dozen rounds, but I take Abraham's cunning and boxing brain get him though any shaky moment to win the decision.

I need to see a bit more of Abrham. Who does he fight next?

He is included in Showtime's super middleweight tournaments in which all the top SMW's fight against each other. Look to see him against real competition very soon.

If you can't see GMAN has better technical skills, athleticism, power, speed, jab/right etc etc YOUR F*CKING BLIND, plus Abraham is lazy to boot

GMAN was a fast starter and had the ability to take better fighters than Abraham out early

Abraham has an iron chin and has never been down or even seriously hurt. He also blocks a LOT of punches with his high guard and isn't easy to penetrate. Plus he can take your head of with a counter. Come on man, you know that a guy with an iron chin never gets bombed out early by no matter how big a puncher unless he has zero defence and is stopped by the referee, but that won't be the case here. Most of McClellans wins were over smaller guys, i.e. Jackson, too.

I'm not that impressed by McClellan's skills, either. Benn hit him with the right hand at will and pretty much neutralized his jab.
