One of only two fighters to go from Middleweight to Heavyweight and win a title.

Fromer P4P #1 from 1993 to 2004.


Dempsey sat on his title for awhile after making three defenses before losing to Gene Tunney. He's not even a top 10 Heavyweight.

Basically I think he is the better fighter in almost every aspect and I think he had the better career, though in that regard its a lot closer.

...in terms of ATG lists. Obviously they are both wonderful fightes. But when I did 100, Dempsey was nowhere near and Jones was top 30.
