your stating the obvious what you left out was that floyd challenged hatton at 140.

There will always be people saying that fighting Hatton at 147 doesn't really prove much... And that he didn't fight Hatton at 140 when he was there...
And of course, there were other *champions* like Harris, which while not particularly neccessary, would add to his legacy at 140.
So in a way, no. It's not COMPLETE.
All in all, if Tszyu has been impressive against Hatton (and of course he wasn't, so it's kinda mute talkinga bout it), and Mayweather fought him after Gatti - his resume and legacy (not just at 140, but of course at that division in particular) would be awesome.

I understand what you're saying, but you can't complete a legacy at 140 by beating someone at 147. Besides, Floyd will be remembered for being able to beat a variety of different at a variety of weights, not dominating at one single weight class

I agree for the most part. I think that in the larger picture if floyd beats hatton he will have beaten the ring champ at each weightclass up to 147. hattonas a fighter is not much in my opinion but from a historical perpsective it will count for something.

I definitley see your point but there are a few historical nuances that will be tied up.
the first being floyd not fighting the best fighters out there regardless of the weight class they fought at. beating hatton would put to bed any argument that floyd did not fight the best fighters of his generation.
a tag he gets labeled with unfairly due to hatton by and large.

If Floyd wanted it to count @ 140, he should have fought there. You are one of the little pussies who say "Floyd can make 140 easy.."

Sorry asshole...he'll have beaten Hatton @ 147 who IS NOT A RING CHAMP @ 147. Anyone, even with an 1 or 2 Associates degrees, can see that logic. Go back to school bitchtime!:good

I agree. They are building up Kessler big time, making him out to be the next best thing since sliced bread and already saying he can beat several ATG's.
Fagtime is a fucking joke. He sucks and so does his thread. He gets owned, yet again, like the hoe he is.

To be perfectly fair, Mayweather was fighting on HBO wile Tszyu with SHOW. After the Tyson - Lewis fiasco, I don't think they were ready to work together. Altghough I do recall SHO saying they will sign fighters on a fight by fight basis, but I can't remember if that was before or after Floyd was @ 140.

Legitimize your statement that Floyd ducked Hatton, because the evidence suggests it was the opposite.
Then you can move on to new claims. You can't just skip over lies you told.

It only takes replying to this guy for him to claim your "another nuthugger". :-( Don't suppose there's much point to you asking for him to "explain" something. Especially when that something never happened.

woah woah woah there TooPurty - why all the whining when DLH wanted the fight at 154, yet now you're saying the difference between 140-147 is negligible because of the weight Hatton might come in at?
If it's no big deal, why didin't Floyd agree to fight Hatton at 140 so he could remove all doubt about his 'greatness' at that weight?
