View Full Version : Malignaggi can beat Hatton...
IF he can get a referee that won't let Hatton cockwrestle him all night...Malignaggi's handspeed and combos against Ndou were very impressive, and he could do the same thing to Hatton and catch him on the way in with quick combos...watch Hatton duck Malignaggi...:deal

I think a Malignaggi-Hatton fight would be very competitive, and I'd give Pauli a solid shot at scoring the upset.

They could have the fight in brooklyn with lou dibella as the ref, atlas,
kellerman, and clancey as the judges and paulie would still lose. Cause
the fight won't go the distance. Cotto was too drained to finish off
hedgehog, but hatton has plenty of steam. Ricky stops him in 8 or less.

Of course Hatton will DUCK Malignaggi, He's not gonna fight a boxer that moves around.. He's gonna fight someone that stands right in front of him.

I say this is a close fight. Paulie is one tough kid with a ton of speed who can outbox anybody at 140, but I think Hatton's harder punches and pressure would see him through to a close decision.

hey if you wanna suck Hatton's nutz go ahead, and he'll probably like it looking at the way he fights...:hi: you Brits are the only ones excited about Huggin Hatton...his style sucks ass, and Malignaggi has the speed/tools to exploit him so live with it...

Hatton will move up next, he only wants the biggest fights and he has got to go back up to Welterweight to make this happen. Whether this is the right move is another matter ... For what its worth I think Ricky will grind down Malignaggi and will win on points, but will have to win most of the last 5 rounds to do so.

Live with what moron? Paulie hasn't beaten anyone that's even in the same universe of class as hatton. Hatton is just as fast and more powerful than hedgehog. So, how does pitterpat paulie keep hatton off
of him when fighters much better couldn't do it? Hmmmmmmmmmm????

Paulie couldn't beat eggs, if Zab wasn't from Brooklyn no one would give a shit the same goes for Paulie, if Hatton was a plodder i could see your point but pressure fighters traditionally do better against slick boxers than plodding bangers, which is why Hatton would do a better number on Paulie than Cotto did.

It would be ugly. Paulie would stay on his toes and keep hatton chasing him. And believe it or not, Paulie's pretty strong (he was able to push cotto back on several occasions), and when hatton does get him into a clinch, he probably won't be roughed up like castillo or tzyu. probably.

N'dou is a 38 year old pressure fighter and guys with that kind of style fizzle out quick, he has 8 losses and no good scalps and you are comparing him to Hatton:lol: Ricky was beating up guys better than N'dou when he was with ****** for fuck sake get a grip.

You don't know enough to debate with a 5 year old monkey. And speaking of shot fighters. N'dou was a shot guy facing hedgehog.
Look dipshit, when and if the hatton/malignaggi fight happens we'll
have a loser leaves forum forever bet. I won't miss you a bit.

Im impressed with Paulies progress and think hes a great boxer today and a great person having spoke to him on many occassions. Though no one knows what Hatton is like at the moment in the ring so a it would be nearly impossible to predict an outcome.

Hatton was very impressive that fight, I expected him to win but the manner in which he won was very surprising. He was actually outboxing Paulie M which I never expected. Mayweather Sr. had really done great with him in only a few weeks. Its a shame that Sr. had to leave him alone in the ring like that after the Pac KO, I normally like Mayweather Sr because hes hilarious but he really showed no class that night. It didnt matter what trainer or strategy Hatton would have came up with, he was never going to beat Pac on that night.

Gross- someone who is using "strength" as a determining factor to indicate someone is better.
This is the equivalent of flexing muscles and picking who looks "prettier" as a more valid fighter. When will people get off of strength and start viewing total packages? Paulie has for speed and chin what Earnie Shavers had in raw power. Does power beat speed always? Definitely not. does speed beat power always? Definitely not.
Paulie wins the rematch- get it straight.

Cockwrestle or not Paulie won 1 single round and that was the first, he was utterly dominated all the way trough the fight, plus he was hurt and wobbling and holding a number of times.
he didnt have the power to get respect from hatton so he was fucked from the first bell.

Who cares?
I picked Hatton to win but he showed us nothing new and Malignaggi boxed his ear's off when he was actually moving and using his jab. Unfortunately he did it for exactly one round.
Why does some cunt always insist on bumping threads when people make a wrong prediction as if they are fucking perfect?

Im not so sure Paulie would do a great deal better against Hatton 2nd time round, Paulie had close (in some opinions contraversial decisions) over L Ndou rematch and Ngoudjo before Hatton easily beat him. Maybe Paulie had a real off night but with those 2 previous fights before hand in mind I dont think the result would be much different.
Hatton is a rough dirty fighter where people say he only wins fights in the U.K. with his tactics but he does have wins in America where alot of his critics come from with wins over Castillo, Collazo, IBF champ Urango and the already mentioned Malignaggi so must have done some things right. Its not a style I like to watch but bar the very 2 top P4P fighters, no one else has found away to contain him and the Maywheather loss was at WW not LWW where the fight with Malignaggi would happen

Paulie doesn't do well against guyd that can bully him and are physically stronger than him if you don't believe me look at the Cotto and Hatton fights.

It all comes down to what version of Hatton we get. He's coming off the most brutal loss of his career that could of changed him, while Paulie is coming off a solid win. If Hatton is a changed fighter for the worse and Paulie puts his track shoes on popping that jab he can avenge that earlier loss to Hatton.
The only thing I see going for Hatton in a worst case scenerio where he might not be the same fighter is if he keeps the pressure of Paulie and doesn't keep it in the center of the ring. Even tho Diaz got owned by Paulie, Paulie still has that habit of getting lured into exchanges and while he has great footwork, he likes to keep his hands low and light hitting Diaz was able to connect of Paulie very cleanly. If Hatton vs. Malignaggi II doesn't happen, it'd be interesting to see what Judah really has left against either one of them.
