Thats the main reason for this fight, to keep Tua in shape 234lbs im happy with that he knocks Fox out inside of 2/3 rounds i'll be happy with that also
Then get hyim a fight again in October and another in December slowerly stepping it up
October: Tua VS Couser
December: Tua VS Zuri Lawrence

If he looks anything less than absolutely spectacular, 5x better at a minimum than he has recently, any serious talk of a title fight, especially against Wlad, should be considered a felony.

True.
I will say that an in-shape Tua who is focused is dangerous. He will eat a ton of shots to land a big one. And Wlad can't KO him. Wlad should beat him...but an in shape Tua is a hell of a what if punch away from a title.

Still too heavy, but...11 pounds lighter then when he fought Sykes.
Tua is doing well with his weight.

It's a shame that he'll get cut/injured and have to take six months off. Tua at this rate won't fight for the title again until he's 40.

While it would be a shame if he got hurt, it is anything but a shame that he won't get a title shot, hes had plenty and has shown nothing recently if ever to truely earn one. He's a big puncher, likeable, and exciting, but this is still supposed to be a sport that determines who is the best.... at least in theory, long lost theory, long lost abstract theory...somewhere.

Rahman on the other hand 250. How much did he weigh when he beat Lewis?

Tua could Ko those bums even if he weighs 260.
At his age, i think it is not healthy for Tua to weigh lower than 240. He has just naturally thick build.

238.
His best shape has always been around the 235-240 mark. So down 11, but still a ways to go.

He has a ko over one of the current belt holders and koed the guy who he won it from ! He has never been koed and is a massive puncher ! but this all together and you get a guy who deserves it more then HOLY ! More then BRIGGS ! Hell based on past accomplishments and a current win streak he deserves it as much as anyone ! :deal

Rahman on the other hand 250.
Sadly, that's a major improvement over his last fight. He's useless.

How do you know its not healthy for him weighing under 240?? he has much bodyfat at over 240. And hes loosing weight slowly! If he he stays busy im shure he can get down to 230 pounds with no problems! Hes a verry short guy you know, hes still verry massive at 230.

When he knocked out Sanders he was 246 pounds and was rocked solid. But he was a bit sluggish and slow.
I have no problem with Rahman weighing 250 for this fight against Ryan, if he stays busy he will loose some more weight. Ryan will be no problem for Rahman.
Good effort. I really like the guy, itd be great if he can get himself back into the mix!

Yes, there you go, it confirms what I said. The extra weight against Sanders did him no favours, even though he didn't look flabby.
He was able to, in my view even if a couple judges seemed obvious to it, outbox Tua when he was in the 250 lb range. So Rahman can still work at a heavier weight...it just really doesn't help him out to do so.

Just watched Rahman vs. Tua 1 and i was suprised how good Rahman was, he was much faster as hes today and he boxed verry well. But against a prime Tua he got knocked out in round 10. But it was a ggod fight of rahman and his first loss. he looked better in there than in any other fight IMO. Today hes much more sluggish, even when he was in great shape in the Toney and the Maskaev 2 fight! He must be doing something wrong or hes just shot as a fighter.

It shouldn't have been a loss, should've been either a DQ win or given the required 5 minutes of recovery time...and he should've won the second fight about 8-4...but Rahman's luck when it comes to Tua is all bad. Which is why I'm wondering if he'd really want a third go-around!
Probably knock Tua out of the ring, only for Tua to land on an accidently yet conveniently-placed trampoline, bounce back in and knock Rahman cold with a flying uppercut. Although I accept that might be long odds ;)
Order of the day for both guys is quick KOs. Tua's gained a lot of popularity here thanks to the highlight reel knockout on Montana, but that shouldn't smokescreen his displays against Hawkins, Wheeler and Salif...I have no idea whatever what kind of fighter Fox is (although 8-5 says a lot), but Tua needs to crush him.

I don't about that any time a man as big and as powerful a wal hits you enough time, something got to give ,, I am most likely alone on this but I think Wal can certainly hit hard enough and often enough to TKO Tua or KO him.

Great post, especially the part about the trampoline. With the crazy stuff that has happened in Hasim's fights in the past, anything is possible. :D
