He will never accomplish anything at this point now - but do you think he will ever get in the ring again in a sanctioned fight? Not a exhibition or anything like that - but a real bout that goes on the books?

It is very unlikely Mike Tyson will ever box again. If for some reason (he neds the money) he dose box again it would not be the first time a boxer makes an ill-advised comeback.

I would not rule it out, it would generate more publicity than Calzaghe/Kessler, maybe even Mayweather/Hatton; just from the point of view that no casual sports fan in Britain knows what Lil Floyd looks like and ditto casual sports fans in the States with Hatton. But every casual sports fan knows Tyson, hell even my Mum would know who Tyson is.

Hopefully the only time he steps in the ring is as a trainer or as a commentator interviewing fighters.I think with mikes knowledge of the fight game he could succeed at both.

I think Tyson is in for more fights now thatn ever before...

Fight in court against tax assessors
Fight against diseases
Fight in the streest and bars..
Fight his own demons

Sadly, Tyson vs anybody with a remotely known name, even in mma or kickboxing, would do numbers bigger than almost anything other than Oscar Floyd, and I'm being generous to the general public to say that it wouldn't outsell that fight too.

He's got money troubles, but I really don't think he's got the fire for boxing anymore.
As a spectator perhaps, not as a competitor.

Nobody's paying or buying a fight to watch Tyson get beat up again by nobodys.

And if he does fight again - it won't be in a real boxing match - it might not even be in a ring.

I was in the Catskills last week and Tyson was in the gym working with Rooney again. Mike said he wanted to see if Rooney thought he had anything left. If all goes well expect a comeback announcement soon.

Isn't he supposed to be going to jail?

I hope he doesn't fight again, but I think he could sell tickets.

No he will not. But lets say he fights again, a rematch with Danny Williams. What would you say if Tyson knocks Williams out? Would he be back?? I think Tyson would get HUGE attention and everybody would say hes back, that would be great!! But it will not happen. :|

It would still be such a great thing for him to come back and demolish Mcbride and Williams and take on Holyfeild for a 3rd match, but its just dumb talk, he doesnt have anything left and doesnt want to fight. Let me man be.

I hope Tyson does not fight again. Depsite what some may think of Mike as a person, there's no denying he was a great fighter & gave Boxing a lot. When Tyson was champ, you didn't have to be a boxing fan to know who the HW champ was.

I hope Mike also remembers how the sport gave him a lot too. I'm a massive fan of Tyson's, he's my fav all time fighter, part of the reason I started to follow boxing, but it's time to let go & just remember how quality a fighter he was when at his peak.

that's what important - how we remember him, not if he'll fight again. If he were to box again, I can't see him doing it for any reason other than to help him through financial difficulty. That wou;d be sad in my view, although it does happen in life I guess.

No disrespect to Mike, but say he were to box & people started beating the drum once again about how he could domiante, clean up etc. I think boxing would be in a sad state of affairs if the game was relying to a certain degree, on a fighter to win the title 21 years after he first won it.

I met Mike when he came to London in Jan/June 2000. Now that he's retired, I'd love the have the chance to talk to him for him to go over his career and see what he mentions, what he feels about it etc.

We've all heard the saynig hindshight is a wonderful thing.

I'm sure there are a lot of us who'd like nothing more than Mike to come back, dominate, win the title again, put the HW division back on the map again. It's not going to happen though, it's just a dream.

Time to let it go, I say. I don't even think Tyson would be dedicated enough to the sport to even fight. Sure, anyone can box, show up in shocking shape, but what would be the point of that? It would only be sad for Tyson fans and embaressing for Mike.

I doubt Tyson would be able to put his body through the rigours of training camp.

Probably not, but I wouldn;t be totally shocked if like, five years from now, he gave a last effort.

In five years?? Would make no sece at all. If he makes it he he makes it next year but he will propably go to jail so he wont fight anymore.

I still think physically Tyson could compete if he wanted to. Problem is he doesnt want to do it anymore. Thats the difference between him and Holyfield or Hopkins.

IF (big IF) Tyson wanted to come back and fight bums, and IF he could stay motivated enough to do that, then he could make a comeback. But its within reason. Not everyone making a comeback has the last name of Foreman.

I doubt Tyson would be able to put his body through the rigours of training camp. well put, In 2002 when Tyson thought Lewis I was so pumped up for that fight you would think I was giving an invitation to have sex with jessica simpson or something. Tyson is the best magician/promoter the world has ever seen, he made at least 60 % of people think he could beat a near prime Lennox Lewis me included. Tyson is a legend in so many ways and for some of the wrong reasons, but he like Ali made people watch and love boxing again. And no I dont think he will box again, but I did read something about him saying he would fight any boxer if it was a 6 round fight.

The problem there is McBride and Williams were both 6 rounds or less.

The problem there is McBride and Williams were both 6 rounds or less. True but I think if he knew ahead of time he was fighting 6 rounds, he would of done better. In the Williams fight he had a strong lead on the srore cards before the knockout, Im not saying he would be champ fighting 6 round fights but he would definitely still win alot more and still be very dangerous.

Tyson could beat Wlad, if only he had Rooney. And Cus. And felt like training. And had Atlas. And could get off the drugs. And could reverse his prison sentence. And could become 21 again.

That's ALL Tyson needs to become the dominant force in the division. Unless, obviously, he loses.

No. Tyson didnt keep himself in shape, didnt live a healthy life, thu does not have the longevity of Hopkins or Holyfield. Hops and Holy always kept in shape and in good condition both mentally and physically, Tyson was a disaster.

The only person that could pull a "ROCKY" would be Holyfield.

Tyson doesn't have the drive/focus or work ethic do be any type of threat in the heavyweight division. :deal
