View Full Version : Ouma to 147!!! Hey Req4...
Wasnt it you who told me when i said ouma should go there that there is no way he could make 147?
just seen hes making a move down there, exactly where i said he should be. Imo he will be a major player there.
I think he can beat cotto, margarito, cintron, clottey,
Williams, Mosley, Mayweather, beat him imo...
not sure how he fares against oscar right now.

cotto and mosley would kick his ass and force him to move back up to 160, well away from both of them.
I really doubt cotto would 'kick his ass'
ouma is a very durable fighter that makes you fight at his pace, and cotto would hold NO size advantage unlike almost every other fighter ouma fights.
Imo, it would look like the cotto - ndou fight, with ouma being a class above ndou, and pulling out the decision. He will have cotto backing up during the mid rounds, getting fustrated, and fighting at oumas pace.
Imo, Ouma SD Cotto

I totally agree with you here, he has a GREAT chance against Cotto, will be close and tough of course but he has a chance.

i dont think ouma will beat cotto...after seeing him against karmazin, he definately has some flaws that cotto can capitalize on.....for instance, yeah he's a busy fast paced fighter....but he don't really have that 1 punch ko power....therefore, he would have to hit cotto many times to stun him....if he tries to throw 5 or 6 punch combos, cotto will definately dig that body and make him slow down a bit.....after that, i think cotto dominates him.....
i dont even think ouma will beat the latin snake....

Cotto I can see, but Mora? I don't see how Mora beats Ouma.

Wow I hope it happens you see how good he is at 154 you have to think hed be even better at 147 but possibly lose more cause of the weight classes depth.

sergio has alot of advantages over ouma...and he definately knows how to use them....he's quick as shit for a middleweight and his workrate is also great....good chin, and throws from all angles....while ouma kind of just chases you down with the same punches.....

and just because he took a royal ass whoopin from taylor dont mean that he'll be a dominant force at 147.....ouma's a cocky m'fucka...it'll catch up to him

I just want Mora to win to give Arthur Abraham a good (err, well known) opponent in his US debut...

People who make statements like "he cant make weight" usually dont know what they're talking about. If they knew the fighter personally or are in training camps with the fighter then i would actually listen to what someone has to say, but if not then their just talking shite.

Ouma isn't going to get past Mora so it doesn't really matter.

You're tipping Mora in that one?

You're tipping Mora in that one?I know it sounds crazy, and I hate Mora, but I really do think Mora is going to win. He has freakish speed and throws great combinations from crazy angles aswell. I know he has no power but I think he will pepper Ouma to a clear UD.

You don't think Ouma will wear him down and take him out?

You don't think Ouma will wear him down and take him out?He might. Just my opinion that he won't. I'm certainly not putting any money on Mora winning but I will definitely not be surprised, as most of you will be, if he wins this.

ok peeps im 5'8 and 150 is as low as i can go before major changes in my diet. and what i know about it is that it's not good i once got to 140 to at least have a hieght advantage but i was starving myself to get to it and it has no advantages becuase as small as i and ouma are at the a division where 5'10 is the norm.
to get to 147 could be possible but it wouldnt give him ANY benifits
not just that he is a msuclular guy he may be small but he is very very trim and in shape. but 7 pounds is alot of wieght to trim off.

My money is on Ouma but I just have a weird feeling about this fight, something isnt right about it. I have a feeling we are gonna see the Ouma who showed up against Karmazin.:bbb
Could be that weird feeling you have is the realization that Ouma is on the downslide. At this point in his career dropping down in weight is a desperate attempt to reinvent himself. The welter division is way too tough for a depleted fighter fighting at his lightest weight this late in his career.

I just don't see this playing out. This is the same guy who Manfredo should've beat the 2nd time around. His levl of comp hasn't gotten any better, and he's been known to lie against the ropes-a big no-no against a pressure fighter. As far as I know, Ouma and Mora have one common opponent: Sechew Powell who beat Mora in the ams and who Ouma beat pretty convincingly last year.

Jesus, 147 is the premier division. Boxing should focus on unification there, there are so many quality fights and fighters:good
BTW, Cotto will beat Ouma handily:yep
Cotto's skills have been steadily improving, he'll outbox Ouma and take him out in the latter half.

I don't know about desperate: the big names and the big money of at WW. Makes sense that a small jr welter would move down.

I don't see Ouma making noise at Welterweight. He'll get some wins, but overall the other fighters there are simply better.

After fucking up the fight with Taylor - Mora shouldn't even be allowed on the card.
Mora has never fought someone like Ouma - shit most of the fighter in the game have never fought someone like Ouma. He's going to overwhelm Mora until he quits.
