this becomes a USA vs UK ordeal...
or not.

I'm cheering for Mayweather, and it has nothing to do with nationality.

I don't care who wins and have no emotional attachment to either, but I think it could turn into a good fight if they bring out the best in eachother stylistically as expected.

I'm cheering for Mayweather just because I'm sick of Hatton fanboys. They act like he's the second coming of Chavez, Duran, and Jesus Christ all rolled into one. He's an ugly wrestler who looks like crap against larger fighters. I don't like Mayweather, but seeing the Manchester fans start crying in the stands when Hatton quits on his stool will be worth it.

Of course you are. You like to fill your time as a boxing fan with disappointment, it seems.

I'm torn. I admire Mayweather's skills, but I've never really liked him as a person. On the other hand, I like Hatton a lot as a regular joe, but I dislike his mauling style.

Hatton- DLH will be theth 10a bigger fight than Mayweather Dlh, cause it would actually please the paying customers and it would attract people to the arenas and would do good ppv numbers so and oh yeah it would be a crowd pleasingf fight with dlh knocking out Hatton in 10th.

Whatever happens, I'm sure we'll get a good rematch, with the losing fighter preparing a lot differently. Could be the start of more fights to follow.
Contrary to what he would like us to believe, Mayweather is not ready to retire.

I really dont care either way, I just hope to see a exciting fight. But these Hatton fanboys are starting to become as annoying as these Pavlick cheerleaders. Too many on this forum are fans of particular boxers instead of the sport of boxing in general.

Im hoping that hatton does 'well' because that will mean it'll be an interesting fight. I dont really see the point of cheering for anyone though because floyd is going to cut hatton to pieces.

You don't even know Mayweather as a person:nut
Yep. Im starting to think some of these people pull this shit out their ass. What you see on tv aint always the truth.

I wouldn't mind seeing Mayweather hit the deck. It would be foreign territory for him. And Hatton hasn't been down in a long time, either.
I just want a good fight. I don't care who wins. Not to sound corny, but I want the fans to win this one.

Most (not all) of the people backing Mayweather are guys that are failures themselves and need to follow the dominant athletes/teams to get that winning feeling in their lives, drop all this "I love the sweet science side of boxing because I am clever enough to appreciate it" bullshit and get off your high horses.

if you dont like mayweathers style, you dont like boxing.
if you think mayweather runs, you dont like boxing.
i remember shane mosley saying mayweather runs, does this mean he is not a true fan of the sweet science?
I dont care how much of a nationaility issue this becomes, i will GLADLY take hatton in this fight. I would never root against hatton.

Some of you guys care way too much about a boxer's personality. I swear you dudes only watch boxing to see which boxers you want to date.

I respect fighters that give their all come fight time, Mayweather doesn't do this, he does just enough to win and there is nothing to respect about that when people pay hard earned cash for his product.

I remember reading a quote in a boxing mag a few years ago that went something like "Boxing fans who say they would rather watch Hector Camacho outbox a fighter than Mike Tyson knock a guy out arn't purists, they're liars"
Some of you guys care way too much about a boxer's personality. I swear you dudes only watch boxing to see which boxers you want to date.LOL! at thi post...
so, when deciding who you are going to root for in an upcoming superfight, are you saying you shouldnt factor in the peoples personality? or when it comes to your favorite fighter, personality has nothing to do with it?
reality is people root for and pick fighters they relate with. If a fighter is CONSTANTLY rubbing you the wrong way, chances are your not going to root for him when fighting someone you relate with, admire, ect.
on the flip side, i dont see how anyone can follow the sport and NOT be effected by the fighters personalities in chooing their favorites, who their rooting for, ect.
Of course, how they are inside the ring in terms of skill, fighting style, spirt, ect, is more important.... but to me their attributes outside the ring have just as much an influence a lot of the time in choosing favorites and or rooting situations as inside the ring ones.

I'm tempted to cheer for Mayweather. I see boxing as an individual sport, so I usually just support the boxer I like more. I'm not too fond of Hatton for his ducking of Witter although I'm a fan of Mayweather either.
