I was in Melbourne a couple of days ago and the Herald Sun had an article on Barry Hall v Sonny Bill Williams on the Mundine v Green 2 Undercard in Perth on Australia Day 2010.

It seems all you need to do is make up stories these days to be a journalist.

Reasons it will not happen

1/ SBW is not that dumb
2/ French Rugby Season is still going in Febuary
3/ A smart businessman wouldnt put the two fights ( even if they happened) on same card.

The journo reckons the story came from a " street source" , which could of just been a bum in the street....however they may have just been aluding to Khoder NAsser who with the clothes and beard he usually sports could be confused for a bum in the street!

Average attendance for AFL in Melbourne would be about 38,000.
Even socceroo players say that crowds dont really show up for even friendlies etc but if you play at the MCG or in Melbourne you get 70,000.
