Floyd said since only blacks and Hispanics dominate boxing that whites were forced to go to MMA, b/c they couldn't hack it. It was a sport created because slow-twitch, clumsy white people needed somewhere they could be competitive.

Im into boxing first and formost but what a kant of a thing to say. Fact is amature wrestling has been dominated by white people and that was orginally one of the best things to cross over into MMA from the get go.

Such an idiot, look at the champs of each division and say blacks dominate; you can't.
The second biggest, possibly biggest, producer of mma fighters is brazil, where hardly anybody is purely one race, and certainly thry are not a wealthy nation either.
Floyd is basicslly a stupid human being in every possible way, he has no redeeming qualities and this latest statement is from his long time fear of getting beat to death, literally if the other guy chooses to, by an mma fighter. He is a coward and cherry picks his fights, as well as having the IQ of a monkey.

Floyd is such a tool its pathetic. 2 of the title holders in the UFC are white, 1 is black(Brazilian), 1 is asian (by way of Brazil) and the other is polynesian.

Well internationally boxing is dominated at the moment by Europeans.I just perused BBC sport to find the current list of champions throughout each weight class holding the regognised belts and 15 of the 20 champions from Middle to heavy are white but with the exception of Pavlik they are all European.Certainly from an American perspective boxing is a black and hispanic dominated sport and i think the point hes trying to make is that this domination and the lack of established white American fighters has fuelled the growth of MMA as an alternative combat sport for whites.Im not the biggest MMA fan as i prefer my fighters to display impeccable stand up technique but the sport is an avenue for the wrestling and Judo guys to make a crust so Floyds points in many ways are obsolete as their two entiely different sports,however the growth of MMA FROM A FAN perspective imo is a result of White Americans switching off from boxing which is sad.Im not American but boxing does need more Tommy Morrisons and Pavliks.

floyd should pay more attention to his own sport...there's more than just blacks and hispanics in boxing...and they dominate too.
I like his honesty though... he's openly racist and not hidding it. Kinda like Bernard Hopkins. I respect honesty. Having said that , i just wish there wouldn't be this double standard in the media.

This is totally true. Floyd switches continously between good and bad guy. If he is facing a darling like DLH or Gatti he becomes a cunt. If he faces Judah he'll become nice. If he is facing Hatton he'll be a cunt to the Brits.

Why is it ok when a black person makes these comments, because they keep up interest/hype? For this, also see Hopkins' pre-fight Calzaghe comments. Any criticisms of those were shouted down because he was only hyping the fight. Yet if a white person were to say similar things they would be absolutely fucking villified. Always double standards.

Boxing is immensely popular especially in Europe, more so than it is in America. There are a decent number of white champions but none of them are American, which is why they get little to no support from the American mainstream. And boxing is still predominantly a sport dominated by minorities, including blacks, latinos, and asians. White people in the US are more likely to see their own participating and being succesful in the UFC as as opposed to boxing and that I think is a huge reason for its popularity in the US.

That is idiotic. Not too long ago the Middleweight, Super Middleweight, Light Heavyweight, Cruiserweight, and Heavyweight Champions were all white. I am not talking about trinket belt holders they were THE champions of those divisions. Add in Hatton at Light Welterweight and that makes it 6 Divisions.
Mayweather either does not watch much Boxing or is just talking shit.
Either way who gives a crap Boxing is a GLOBAL sport and it should not be defined by race ever.
