Probably the only way that Cotto can lure Mayweather into the ring is to knockout Margarito. I'm not so sure that Maragrito might not knockout Cotto. He is a tough customer and he comes to fight. Men with less firepower than Margarito have turned Cotto's legs into spagetti.

I re-watched the Cotto-Judah fight last nite and I think my
friends will agree that Cotto was hurt 3 times by Judah.

Judah just didn't land the second & third punches that would have
knocked him down. But fighting a southpaw is tough, and they
will hit you dead on sometime in the fight due to the angle of their
punches .

Cotto seems to have improved 15 % more since his last fight.
His confidence is high, and he has all of Puerto Rico behind him.
And, he has better overall skills than Margo.

But, Margo is a very solid, rough & tough Welter who will be given
this one time to shine if he gets this fight.

It could come down to who has the best chin and who backs the
other up....but we know they both will probably cut, both could
go down, and neither will easily quit.

Sounds like a potential great fight between 2 Latin American warriors.
