Hmmm.....well, he may get used to Pacman's power then. But not his relentless pressure

Good news since Valero bangs hard but it'll be difficult to find someone with the speed and power that Pac has, not a bad idea at all though. Shows that MAB is extremely serious about this fight.

That is one of the tough things about preparing to fight Pacquiao. No one really out there that can bring his arsenal to the ring to spar and prepare with. Getting used to coping with power can't hurt though. It will be the tricky angles it's coming from and the speed at which the power comes that will be tough to deal with come fight night.

Hell, if MAB could just give it his absolute best, he'd win.

War BARRERA! :good

A betting man has to go with Manny. But like a lot of people are saying, one can't count Barrera out so easily. I'd like to see him go out on top, I guess we'll see if he can come through. Going out with a win over Pac solidifies his already ATG status.

Just like EM sparred with Valero prior to his 1st fight with Pacquiao.

He'll have a few other guys too, so I reckon this is a good choice for MAB... :good

I am not sure if Valero is as good as Pac but Valero as a sparring is prolly the best preparation MAB could have.

valero will be the winner here. he'll learn from a good tactician and probably look helpless against mab but then nodody else will see it. ion the end, valero will have an idea what he lacks

What tricky angles? You are talking about Pac right?

The speed part I agree with.

Well Erik Morales used him in his first encounter and victory with Pac so why not

He probably thought it helped Morales in his first fight with PAc, so why not him.

I guess Valero is ok after all, I did read on another site that Valero got macheted in the forehead or something like that. Hopefully it was just a rumor, I think it will help both fighters....
"13 August 2007
As a result of a fierce fight that happened during the dawn of this Sunday in a well-known nocturnal center of Mérida, Edwin Valero, world-wide super-featherweight champion of boxing, was wounded. The incident took place at approximately 3:00 a.m. near the Racing Bar nightclub, located in the CC Alto Prado. The authorities indicated that Valero conversed with a group of friends when they were surprised and attacked by strangers, who hurt him with a cutting weapon in the forehead. The director of the Police of Mérida, Alberto Daniel Quintero, informed that afterwards the super-featherweight champion Edwin Valero (25) was transferred to the HULA. Apparently, Valero has been disfigured."

good way to prepare for pac's power... prob will still be pac's speed and workrate.

valero's punching style though is very different from pac. valero throws mostly wide, open, clubbing almost telegraph punches compared to pac who throws straight, closed, down the middle, more compact punches.

Not like Pacman from what I have seen. Not the same type of pressure or workrate.
