You guys are both so fucking smart, especially the person who started this thread. You just got owned.

WBC junior welterweight champion Junior Witter (36-1-2) enjoyed the best performance of his career tonight in Barnsley when he stopped former champion Vivian Harris (28-3-1) in seven rounds. In an exciting fight that seemed well matched it was the superior speed and power of the 33-year-old Witter that prevailed. Witter dropped the 29-year-old challenger from Guyana in the fourth round with a short left hook and it was a crisp and fast left hook that dropped Harris for the final time in the seventh round.

Oh of course. You mean "american based." Of course you did. Your statement is just as fucking retarded as the first guy. If you both weren't so stupid you'd see he clearly called Harris a "yank". Scroll up. The guy is not American.

There is basically a bias towards American promoted fighters.
American promoters pull strings in the media to get the cash-cows hype.
Media influences the sheep like fans.
Fighters promoted by Europeans, the biggest threat to yank income are the worst hit.

He made a slight slip-up, it is not important.
The point remains very valid.

I bet the American media had his nationallity changed on boxrec when he lost last night. They'll deny he was ever a yank.
I hate these American cover ups.

It is all about the money, they don't care whether they make money on an African, Asian, or American (North or South).
Money is the motivating factor not nationality.
American promoted fighters are the ones who get overrated.

there was no slip up
only an idiot would think that it matters more where the boxer is born than where he is fighting out of

Guyana is on the American continent so technically he was right.

American in this context should mean both North and South Americans.
They are just as bad with mexicans.

Any fighters in the Americas end up being promoted by Yanks.
Europeans get promoted by wealthy Europeans, so tend to get frozen out.
Hatton though is making himself worth a lot of money to GBP, so expect his stock to rise even if he loses to Mayweather.

harris didnt even start his amateur career until he got to the USA!i got the birthplace detail wrong i admit, but he IS an AMERICAN based,AMERICAN trained and AMERICAN nurtured fighter. He lives in NYC for fuks sake!
as such of course he's going to get heavy bias against a brit from dumbass writers like him.being from NYC compounds it.
do you think the writer would have picked Harris if he was from, say,Barnsley, and Witter was a New yorker?i doubt it.
cheers for support China,Pharoah:good
