'The Radab' - basically its like an arm triangle but you read all your MMA forum posts to your hapless victim as he loses consciousness. Of course its a double edged sword, because as you pass out its actually a relief.

All of the armlock or leglock submissions can hurt like hell if they're applied with enough force. Applied with too much force and one ends up with a broken appendage and that hurts for days and weeks and you get to enjoy arthritis in it for years to come.
As for the chokes - the guillotine is a sunovabitch - the rest just put you to sleep - but that one crushes your windpipe, makes your eyes water and you choke and gag involuntarily.
Any type of choke, because it's not about pain it's about going out, i've come close to being choked out and it's not a great feeling, not that any other sub is.

 I agree mainly the well applied guillotines though. If it isnt 100 percent then its not taking much for me to grab one of his hands and drive my forerarm into his throat and pop out. Id would say its the most painfull though but only the full guard one with no arms in I feel like im being chopped in half at the head and at the waist. Alot of folks shit on guillotines saying they arent successful but I love them you can get them in various situations and in different varaties. One im real slick at is the anachonda choke in full guard the Miguel Torres move that I stole.

If the criteria is "most agony" chokes are probably last on the list, they hardly hurt at all and are quick. Although if they aren't quite getting the choke but more cranking the neck obviously that is going to hurt.
The worst are compression locks because you know its kind of possible to not be injured if you don't tap, so you aren't going to tap as quickly as you would to a joint lock. This includes achillies locks, bicep slicer, and calf slicer. Tyson Griffin got caught in a really nasty compression lock that was sort of a mix between his knee and his calf, and basically just sat there in agony until he either got out, the bell rang, or the guy let it go, I forget.
They are the worst because they are essentially pain locks, rather than damage locks, yes they can do damage, but they primarily work just by causing severe pain.
Also any joint lock that you don't get enough time to tap will obviously hurt. A heel hook that gets cranked will really fuck up a knee badly and possibly forever.

I guess different interpretation of agony. If you're talking about in a "real fight" Yea arm bars, kneebars whichever joint manipulation submissions will bring most agony. But if you're grappling in a non life threatening circumstances than any type of strangling is more agony. Reason being you can fight it longer. If it an armbar I tap quickly once its locked in. If it's something like a body triangle plus a choke and you're fighting it you still got a chance to escape but it slowly passing you buy as you are struggling for your breath because of the body triangle and your mind is slowly shutting down as you gettin choked... I'd say thats more agony.

Yeah ive been caught in one by just a bluebelt once and it was crushing imagine a guy like Couture who is freakishly strong and has better technique then just your good old bluebelt.

I think this sums it up best.
When an RNC is locked the impact is instant and your feeling of hope quickly evaporates :-)

Well, there isn't one that really involves any kind of pain (as once you feel any sort of pain given by the receptors in your limbs/joints, your brain signals you to give up), the most "vicious" one would have to be either the Heel Hook or a Twister (which is a spinal submission).
The danger with a Heel Hook is that if applied properly, some people don't know to tap until it's too late. If you execute a Heel Hook properly, the moment someone feels anything, it's already too late. The damage is done.

Compression locks due, they are all about pain, which is why I picked them.
Straight Achilles, bicep or calf splicer? Horrible. Watch Tyson Griffin vs Dos Anjos

a kimura and reverse trinagle locked in together from north south position is the worst ive ever felt... a kimura is agony on its own but when its locked in while your being helplessly strangled its just pure pain, embarrassment and hopelessness rolled into one
