Anyone going to the Dawson v. Diconu TITLE fight on September 29th @ Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA? Tickets went on sale today at 10 AM. Ticketmaster.com. Should be lots of fun, Just bought ring level tickets with 4 of my buddies. Cant wait. Don King's troll head :yikes will be there since he won the purse bid and is teaming up with the Maloof Sports and Entertainment. IT will be such a fun event :hi: :bbb

I am have been watching out for news of this fight, ever since i heard that It might end up in Sacramento on another boxing site. I am glad that another championship fight is coming to Sac town, I dont really understand why they would choose Sac though, Dawson though good (doesnt really have a fan base outside of his home state) and the other guy is from Canada via Romania. I guess probably because most other venues are booked up this time of year. I am probably going to go.

it is too bad they put it on the same night as Pavlik/Taylor though. I do not know if Dawson has any hardcore fans that will travel from the east but i know a lot of people in sac like him. Diaconu has fans that will be travelling to see him from all the US and Canada. Even if you do not like either fighter this will be a Nice fight to watch. Personally i will be traveling from Portland, ORegon to go see it with my boys. It will be worth the 10 hour drive.

I heard DIaconu's trainer on the radio. He said that Don King wanted to make the fight in mtl but as every saturday are already booked by the canadiens hockey team it was impossible.

i bought five 'lower level' tickets. i bought ring tickets last month for the "world cup of boxing" so i didn't want to spend that type of money again.

Ya it would be nice for the fighters to have their regular crowd cheering them on in their home town but i think it is also nice for a city like sacramento who loves boxing and has a lot of boxing history to get a chance to watch a world title fight. I hope a lot of people will be there to watch this fight.
