Hey Ash Whats the go with this being televised. Is the HD10 on Austar or what actual TV. Be keen to watch it. I hope big Bob is fit. I'd luv nothing more than to see him KO Hoppa.

On a digital TV it's channel ONE.
On FOXTEL provided you've got the right level subscription it's channel 531.

Hoping Bob wins it in another war.

Also hoping they televise the girls - McGowan v Parr. Should imagine they will. Both can really go, and Erin's technique is better than a lot of bloke's.

So far they've televised 3 or 4 fights each night.

On the first night (Sydney), where there were the two controversial 1st round stoppages, they then filled with highlights from other earlier bouts as well.

I know a bit about Big Bob, and am a semi-fan of his (he seems like a great guy) but in all honesty, I am only rooting for him because he seems cool.

Erin V Angie is the one I am most keen to watch. TBH I thought the first fight between the two big boys was a crap fight, more mauling and wrestling than anything else - and the fact that it followed a week after Briggs V Wilson III did it no favours either

Yeah, Ive not watched a lot of womens boxing, but Ive certainly see a lot of Pro male fighters with a lot worse fundamentals/conditioning than that.

Can I just say, what a great job the emcee does on these things. Typically Aussie guys just try too hard to entertain/commentate and host the evening. This guy is a real natural. One of the first not to make me cringe. Kudos to him.

Hoppa is all over Big Bob who is just grappling. Has made a couple of claims that Hoppa is trying to break his arm again. Coming into the 8th round I'd say Hoppa has won 7 of them!

This is a pretty piss poor fight...Hoppa aint exactly Paul Williams in there either, but Bob looks toast.

These kind of fights remind me of why I dont really follow the heavies.

Bad, bad, boring fight!

I'll feed Bob some slack that he was trying to wear Hoppa down by wrestling and holding on for a late onslaught - and he got the bonus of extra time for a breather while the continually collapsing turnbuckle was tightened - come on guys can't we assemble a bloody ring correctly!

Bob looked timid from the start and it didn't look like he could punch a hole in a rice pudding, even early. Yeah, Hoppa's powerful, but Bob was terrible.

Heaven help what big Ben Edwards would have done to the Bob that turned up in Canberra last night.

Hang-em-up Bob, your final bell is ringing very loudly mate!

But I'll tell you what, I am most interested in learning more about Big Bob M. From what I have read in a quick google search, he seems to be the pride of Australia and virtually impossible to dislike. I want to see more fights of his, but there isn't much of him on youtube.

Big Bob was absolutely robbed on the Green vs Beyer 2 undercard against Timo Hoffman - even the German crowd booed at the UD result to Hoffman :-(

Big Bob fought Valuev on the undercard of the first Green vs Beyer fight and did okay but Valuev was just too big for him.

A few hiccups with the broadcast but minor teething problems really. First time I have watched Superbox on a Thursday night, it will get better with time and even bouts. Loved the girls, Erin was awesome and Parr was a great contender for the show.

As for Hoppa and Bob :verysad the only positive of a long drawn out fight was the respect shown at the end, well done.

The girls were awesome - compare the skills and fitness they displayed to the headline fight :-(

I thought both Parr and McGowan handled themselves really well. Parr's a pretty thing, kind of a shame to see her fighting tough in a ring, very unladylike :lol:

McGowan and Suzie Ramandan both have outstanding techniques, and as you say the girls seem to be in top shape and take pride in their fitness levels.

Ben Edwards will stop Hoppa again of that I have no doubt.

Ben threw more punches in his 1 minute than both fighters did in rounds 5-10. Poor Bob, his old legs and non-existant jab, constant complaining, coping that looping right to the ribs about 40 times - Both men were gassed by round 4. it was an ugly fight to watch. I didn't realise that title fights could only be 10 rounds either?

Ged O'Mahony was very slick, showed good reflexes and was in fine shape, dancing around with his hands down is a habit Paul B should beat out of him.

The girls were entertaining indeed.
